Abstract

Kanker adalah sebuah penyakit yang ditandai dengan pertumbuhan dan migrasi sel yang tidak terkendali dalam tubuh manusia. Sebanyak 90% kematian dari pasien kanker disebabkan oleh proses metastasis sel kanker. Saat ini pengobatan antikanker menggunakan cisplatin dan carboplatin yang memiliki efek samping berupa muntah-muntah, gangguan sistem saraf, dan gangguan ginjal. Pemanfaatan senyawa kompleks Zn dapat menjadi solusi alternatif agen antikanker. Logam Zn merupakan logam yang tersebar luas dalam tubuh makhluk hidup. Pada penelitian ini sintesis kompleks Zn(II)-bis(aquo)-2-Metilbenziliden-Benzohidrazida telah berhasil dilakukan dengan produk berwarna putih keruh dengan rendemen 37,45%. Analisis FTIR menunjukkan adanya ikatan logam dan ligan berupa Zn-O dan Zn-N pada bilangan gelombang 456-513 cm-1 . Hasil analisis TGA menunjukkan senyawa kompleks memiliki rumus molekul [C15H18Cl2N2O3Zn]. Difraktogram XRD menunjukkan bahwa senyawa kompleks berbentuk kristal dan memiliki kemiripan dengan material standar. Kata kunci: Antikanker, Benzohidrazida, Kanker, Serviks.

Cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled cell growth and migration in the human body. As many as 90% of deaths from cancer patients are caused by the process of cancer cell metastasis. Currently, anticancer treatment uses cisplatin and carboplatin which have side effects such as vomiting, nervous system disorders, and kidney disorders. The use of Zn complex compounds can be an alternative solution for anticancer agents. Zinc (Zn) is a metal that is widely distributed in the bodies of living organism. In this study, the synthesis of the Zn(II)-bis(aquo)-2-methylbenzylidene-benzohydrazide complex has been successfully carried out with a cloudy white product with yield percentage at 37,45%. FTIR analysis showed the presence of metal and ligand bonds in the form of Zn-O and Zn-N at wave numbers of 456-513 cm-1. The results of the TGA analysis showed that the complex compound has a molecular formula [C15H18Cl2N2O3Zn]. The XRD diffractogram showed that the complex compound was crystalline and had similarities to standard materials. Keywords: Anticancer, Benzohydrazide, Cancer, Cervix.
