Abstract
Perancangan alat uji durabilitas untuk Railway Measuring Equipment bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem pengujian yang dapat mengevaluasi daya tahan perangkat pengukur geometri rel kereta api. Alat ini akan menguji kemampuan alat pengukur untuk memberikan hasil yang konsisten dalam jangka waktu panjang tanpa mengalami kegagalan signifikan dengan parameter pengujian yaitu kelelahan, resistansi terhadap getaran, keausan permukaan, stabilitas dimensi, dan umur layanan. Proyek ini mencakup desain komponen dan mekanisme kerja. Metode penelitian ini meliputi studi literatur untuk memahami teori dasar, identifikasi masalah terkait perancangan alat uji durabilitas untuk Railway Measuring Equipment, dan penentuan kebutuhan desain kriteria yaitu lebar rel bagian dalam dengan lebar 1065-1071 mm, panjang lintasan rel minimal sepanjang 3318 mm dan geometri rantai dan attachment disesuaikan dengan rel R54. Tahapan selanjutnya mencakup penyusunan konsep berbasis mekanisme conveyor, perancangan komponen, desain menggunakan Autodesk Inventor, serta pembuatan gambar teknik untuk kebutuhan manufaktur. Hasil rancangan ini yaitu Alat pengujian ini memiliki panjang 2683 mm, lebar 2224,65 mm, dan tinggi 1219 mm dengan kecepatan rantai 90 m/min. Dari hasil perhitungan daya motor yang diperlukan sebesar 15,57 HP, rantai yang digunakan yaitu Chain ANSI no. 160-1 dengan pitch diameter sprocket 518,28 mm 32T, diameter poros 70 mm, spesifikasi spur gear penggerak reciprocating shaft yaitu pinion pitch diameter 160 mm 32T, gear pitch diameter 280 mm 56T, spesifikasi worm gear yaitu worm dengan pitch diameter 28,4 mm 6T, dan gear 156 mm 39T.

The design of a durability testing device for Railway Measuring Equipment aims to develop a testing system capable of evaluating the endurance of railway track geometry measuring instruments. This device will test the measuring tool's ability to provide consistent results over an extended period without significant failure, based on testing parameters such as fatigue, vibration resistance, surface wear, dimensional stability, and service life.This project involves the design of components, and working mechanisms. The research method includes a literature study to understand the fundamental theories, identification of issues related to the design of the durability testing device for Railway Measuring Equipment, and determination of design criteria requirements, which include an inner rail gauge width of 1065–1071 mm, a minimum track length of 3318 mm, and chain and attachment geometry tailored to R54 rails. The next stages include the development of a conveyor-based concept, component design, 3D modeling using Autodesk Inventor 2024, and the creation of technical drawings for manufacturing purposes. The result of this design is a testing device with a length of 2683 mm, a width of 2224.65 mm, and a height of 1219 mm, operating with a chain speed of 90 m/min. Based on the power calculation, a motor with 15.57 HP is required. The chain used is ANSI chain no. 160-1 with a sprocket pitch diameter of 518.28 mm (32 teeth), a shaft diameter of 70 mm, a spur gear specification for the reciprocating shaft drive consisting of a pinion with a pitch diameter of 160 mm (32 teeth), and a gear with a pitch diameter of 280 mm (56 teeth). The worm gear specifications include a worm with a pitch diameter of 28.4 mm (6 threads), and a gear with a pitch diameter of 156 mm (39 teeth).
