Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reliability of a 3-legged jacket platform structure under the influence of scouring depth using SACS software. The modeling process was conducted to visualize the main structural components such as the main deck, cellar deck, and the jacket structure. Model validation showed an error value of only 0.49%, indicating that the model accurately represents actual conditions. In-place analysis revealed that all structural members had Unity Check (UC) values below 1, both under operating and storm conditions, indicating the structure is safe. Further analysis evaluated the effect of scouring at various depths (1–9 meters). The results showed that as the scouring depth increases, UC values and joint punching shear also increase but remain within safe limits (UC < 1). The safety factor analysis showed a decline in pile performance with increasing scouring depth, although most still remained above the safety threshold. Reliability analysis using the MVFOSM method and indicated high reliability index (β) values, with a very low probability of failure (PoF) under most conditions. However, under the deepest scouring condition (9 meters) combined with storm loading, the β value for several piles approached or slightly fell below the minimum threshold (β = 3.09), indicating an increased risk of failure. Overall, the platform structure remains within safe and reliable limits against the effects of scouring.
