Abstract

Fenomena retro revival telah memengaruhi berbagai aspek budaya populer, termasuk desain produk audio. Generasi Z, sebagai kelompok konsumen yang tumbuh di era digital, menunjukkan minat yang besar terhadap produk dengan estetika retro yang membawa elemen nostalgia namun tetap relevan dengan kebutuhan modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana desain produk audio bergaya retro merespons tren ini melalui kombinasi estetika klasik dan teknologi kontemporer. Pendekatan penelitian melibatkan analisis desain produk audio ikonis dari masa lalu, observasi tren pasar terkini, serta survei preferensi Generasi Z. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa desain bergaya retro tidak hanya menarik secara visual, tetapi juga menciptakan koneksi emosional yang memperkuat keterlibatan konsumen. Integrasi fitur-fitur modern, seperti konektivitas nirkabel dan komponen digital, memungkinkan produk ini tetap kompetitif di pasar. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa desain produk audio bergaya retro mampu menjembatani masa lalu dan masa kini dengan memberikan nilai estetika, fungsionalitas, dan pengalaman pengguna yang unik. Implikasinya, strategi desain semacam ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh perusahaan untuk memperluas pasar dan memperkuat loyalitas konsumen di kalangan Generasi Z.

The retro revival phenomenon has influenced various aspects of popular culture, including audio product design. Generation Z, as a consumer group raised in the digital era, has shown a strong interest in products with retro aesthetics that evoke nostalgia while remaining relevant to modern needs. This study aims to explore how retro-styled audio product designs respond to this trend by combining classic aesthetics with contemporary technology. The research approach includes an analysis of iconic audio product designs from the past, observation of current market trends, and a survey of Generation Z's preferences. Findings reveal that retro-style designs are not only visually appealing but also foster an emotional connection that enhances consumer engagement. The integration of modern features, such as wireless connectivity and digital components, ensures these products remain competitive in today's market. This study concludes that retro-styled audio product designs bridge the past and present by offering unique aesthetic, functional, and user experience values. The implication is that such design strategies can be leveraged by companies to expand their market reach and strengthen consumer loyalty among Generation Z.
