Abstract

RSUD dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Mojokerto merupakan rumah sakit umum tipe B yang melayani kebutuhan kesehatan masyarakat Mojokerto dan sekitarnya. Sebagai rumah sakit rujukan, RSUD ini memiliki tantangan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan, khususnya dalam aspek desain interior yang dapat mendukung proses penyembuhan pasien. Berdasarkan studi lapangan, diketahui bahwa rumah sakit umum RSUD dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo membutuhkan penguatan identitas. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan menciptakan lingkungan rumah sakit yang lebih nyaman, fungsional, dan kondusif bagi proses pemulihan pasien. Serta memperkuat identitas rumah sakit dengan budaya Mojokerto. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah design thinking, yang melalui tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Pendekatan desain mencakup optimalisasi elemen interior yang menyembuhkan diantaranya adalah pencahayaan alami, ventilasi udara, tata ruang serta pemanfaatan elemen budaya lokal seperti motif batik dan ukiran khas Mojokerto. Kajian dilakukan di area lobby, poliklinik lantai 1 serta poli kulit dan estetika. Penelitian ini menganalisis kebutuhan pengguna, mengacu pada standar desain rumah sakit, serta prinsip universal design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan elemen budaya lokal dapat memperkuat identitas visual rumah sakit sekaligus meningkatkan branding. Berdasarkan hasil observasi akhir kepada pengguna yaitu pasien dan tenaga kesehatan diperoleh bahwa pengoptimalan interior melalui prinsip healing environment dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan serta membantu proses penyembuhan pasien. Sehingga, RSUD dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Mojokerto dapat menghadirkan lingkungan yang mendukung penyembuhan pasien serta memperkuat daya saing sebagai rumah sakit rujukan daerah.

RSUD dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Mojokerto is a type B general hospital that provides healthcare services to the people of Mojokerto and its surrounding areas. As a referral hospital, it faces the challenge of improving service quality, particularly in terms of interior design that supports the patient healing process. Field studies indicate that the hospital needs a stronger identity. Therefore, this study aims to create a more comfortable, functional, and recovery-conducive hospital environment while reinforcing its identity through the cultural elements of Mojokerto. The research adopts a design thinking methodology, encompassing the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. The design approach focuses on optimizing healing interior elements, including natural lighting, air circulation, spatial layout, and the incorporation of local cultural features such as Mojokerto’s distinctive batik patterns and carvings. The study is conducted in key hospital areas including the lobby, first-floor polyclinic, and the dermatology and aesthetics clinic. It analyzes user needs by referring to hospital design standards and universal design principles. The results demonstrate that integrating local cultural elements can strengthen the hospital's visual identity and enhance its branding. Final observations involving patients and healthcare staff show that optimizing the interior through healing environment principles significantly improves comfort and supports the patient recovery process. Consequently, RSUD Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Mojokerto can provide a healing-supportive environment while increasing its competitiveness as a regional referral hospital.
