Abstract
Pendidikan Vokasi diciptakan berdasarkan suatu konsep ketenagakerjaan yang mengarah pada pelaksanaan pembangunan khususnya melalui industrialisasi. Salah satu tantangan terhadap hasil pendidikan adalah menyiapkan lulusan yang memuaskan bagi pengguna jasa.Oleh karena itu peningkatan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia merupakan prioritas kunci dalam peningkatan mutu, relevansi maupun effisiensi pendidikan. Menyikapi hal tersebut Departemen Teknik Mesin Industri (DTMI) Fakultas Vokasi ITS menerapkan program keterkaitan & kesepakatan (Link & Match), yaitu mengaitkan (to link) proses pendidikan dengan dunia kerja dan mengedepankan (to match) proses pendidikan dengan kebutuhan tenaga trampil yang sesuai dengan bursa ketenagakerjaan Berdasarkan hal tersebut, kami sebagai mahasiswa Teknik Mesin Industri ITS memilih PT TERMINAL PETIKEMAS SURABAYA (TPS) sebagai tempat pelaksanaan kerja praktik atau magang industri dengan pertimbangan PT TERMINAL PETIKEMAS SURABAYA (TPS) memiliki kualitas manajemen operasional yang baik sehingga dapat memberikan kami lebih banyak pengetahuan yang sesuai dengan bidang teknik mesin, terutama teknologi rekayasa manufaktur.

Vocational education was created based on a workforce concept that focuses on development, particularly through industrialization. One of the challenges facing educational outcomes is producing graduates who satisfy service users. Therefore, improving the quality of human resources is a key priority in enhancing the quality, relevance, and efficiency of education. In response to this, the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering (DTMI) of the ITS Vocational School has implemented a Link & Match program, which connects the educational process with the world of work and prioritizes matching the educational process to the needs of skilled workers in the job market. Based on this, we, as ITS Industrial Mechanical Engineering students, have chosen PT TERMINAL PETIKEMAS SURABAYA (TPS) as the location for our industrial work experience or internship, considering that PT TERMINAL PETIKEMAS SURABAYA (TPS) has excellent operational management qualities, which can provide us with more knowledge relevant to the field of mechanical engineering, particularly manufacturing engineering technology.
