Abstract

======================================================================================================================================
The physical environment has a significant influence on an individual's psychological and physical condition. This is the basis of the therapeutic architecture theory which utilizes design elements to support the healing process. The application of therapeutic architecture principles in the Art Therapy Center, a health facility that focuses on accommodating psychotherapy rehabilitation activities, especially art therapy as the main healing method, creates an innovative approach in designing comfortable and non-intimidating health facilities. This design is reinforced with evidence-based design which complements and validates that the elements applied are truly effective in supporting the healing process. This design is expected to be an oasis of healing amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, help overcome the challenges of community mental health, and eliminate the negative stigma towards health facilities and mental health.
