Abstract

Kesehatan mental mahasiswa merupakan isu krusial yang semakin mendapat perhatian di berbagai institusi pendidikan, termasuk Fakultas Sains dan Analitika Data (FSAD) ITS, di mana tekanan akademik, sosial, dan personal sering kali berakumulasi menjadi sumber stres yang signifikan. Stres ini dapat berdampak buruk pada prestasi akademik, hubungan sosial, serta kesejahteraan emosional mahasiswa. Salah satu faktor yang diyakini mampu memberikan pengaruh dalam mengurangi tingkat stres adalah religiusitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam pengaruh religiusitas terhadap tingkat stres mahasiswa FSAD ITS dengan menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), yang mampu memodelkan hubungan kompleks antara variabel laten dengan indikator-indikatornya. Religiusitas dalam penelitian ini diukur melalui The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS-15), sebuah instrumen yang mengukur lima dimensi religiusitas yaitu dimensi intelektual, ideologis, praktik publik, praktik pribadi, dan pengalaman beragama, sementara stres diukur menggunakan Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 (DASS-21), yang menilai tiga aspek utama, yaitu depresi, kecemasan, dan stres. Data dikumpulkan berdasarkan survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada mahasiswa FSAD ITS yang terdiri dari enam departemen yaitu Biologi, Fisika, Kimia, Matematika, Statistika, dan Sains Aktuaria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa religiusitas berpengaruh negatif terhadap stres dengan nilai koefisien sebesar -0,197, yang mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat religiusitas, maka semakin rendah tingkat stres mahasiswa. Namun demikian, besarnya pengaruh tersebut tergolong lemah, dengan nilai R-square sebesar 0,039, menunjukkan bahwa religiusitas hanya mampu menjelaskan 3,9% variasi stres. Dimensi religiusitas yang paling kuat membentuk konstruk adalah pengamalan beragama dan intelektual.

Mental health among university students is a critical issue that is increasingly receiving attention across educational institutions, including the Faculty of Science and Data Analytics (FSAD) at ITS, where academic, social, and personal pressures often accumulate into significant sources of stress. This stress can have adverse effects on academic performance, social relationships, and emotional well-being among students. One factor believed to have an influence in reducing stress levels is religiosity. This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the influence of religiosity on stress levels among FSAD ITS students using the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method, which can model complex relationships between latent variables and their indicators. Religiosity in this study was measured using the Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS-15), an instrument that assesses five dimensions of religiosity: intellectual, ideological, public practice, private practice, and religious experience. Stress was measured using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 (DASS-21), which evaluates three main aspects: depression, anxiety, and stress. Data were collected through a survey by distributing questionnaires to FSAD ITS students from six departments: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science. The results of the study indicate that religiosity has a negative effect on stress with a coefficient value of -0.197, indicating that the higher the level of religiosity, the lower the level of stress among students. However, the magnitude of this influence is considered weak, with an R-square value of 0.039, indicating that religiosity can only explain 3.9% of stress variation. The dimensions of religiosity that most strongly form the construct are religious practice and intellectual religiosity.
