Abstract

Produksi hidrogen memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung transisi energi bersih menuju Net Zero Emissions (NZE) 2060. Namun, tingginya biaya produksi menjadi tantangan utama yang perlu diatasi untuk meningkatkan daya saing teknologi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keekonomian bauran energi Hydrogen Plant (H2P), yang saat ini memanfaatkan kombinasi 91% listrik dari grid PLN dan 9 % dari Solar PV. Metode penelitian mencakup pengumpulan data operasional dan teknis dari lokasi penelitian serta analisis tekno ekonomi berdasarkan indikator Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate Ratio (IRR) dan Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH). Penelitian ini membandingkan skenario konfigurasi H2P diantaranya dengan penambahan kapasitas Solar PV (50,6 kWp, 100 kWp, 200 kWp, 400 kWp) dan integrasi sumber energi potensial dari turbin air. Integrasi sumber energi hibrida konfigurasi 4 (Grid + Solar PV 400 kWp) mencapai Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) yaitu Rp117.034/kg atau USD 7,29/kg, Net Present Value (NPV) senilai Rp 22.024.399.992,- dan tingkat pengembalian bunga (IRR) yang kuat yaitu 26,18%. Konfigurasi tersebut menghasilkan emisi terendah sebesar 425 tonCO₂/tahun dan pajak karbon Rp 12.746.873,- yang menunjukkan efektivitas diversifikasi sumber energi dalam mengurangi jejak karbon dan beban finansial terkait pajak karbon.

Hydrogen production has great potential to support the clean energy transition towards Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060. However, the high cost of production is a major challenge that needs to be addressed to improve the competitiveness of this technology. This research aims to analyze the economic viability of the Hydrogen Plant (H2P) with hybrid energy sources, which currently utilizes a combination of 91% electricity from the PLN grid and 9% from Solar PV. The research method includes collecting operational and technical data from the research site and conducting a techno-economic analysis based on the Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) indicators. The study compares H2P configuration scenarios, including adding Solar PV capacity (50.6 kWp, 100 kWp, 200 kWp, 400 kWp) and integrating potential energy sources from water turbines. The hybrid energy source integration in configuration 4 (Grid + Solar PV 400 kWp) achieves a Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH) of Rp117,034/kg or USD 7.29/kg, a Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp 22,024,399,992, and a strong Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 26.18%. This configuration results in the lowest emissions of 425 tonsCO₂/year and carbon tax of Rp 12,746,873, demonstrating the effectiveness of energy source diversification in reducing the carbon footprint and associated financial burden from carbon taxes.
