Abstract
Pencahayaan merupakan salah satu komponen yang memengaruhi kualitas ruang. Ruang studio arsitektur, sebagai lingkungan belajar, membutuhkan pencahayaan yang mampu menunjang berbagai aktivitas belajar, menggambar manual, dan menggambar digital. Kualitas pencahayaan berkaitan dengan produktivitas dan aktivitas selama berada di ruang studio. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pencahayaan dalam membentuk kualitas ruang studio.
Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma post-postivism dengan combined strategy: a two phase design. Tahap pertama menggunakan strategi korelasi, sedangkan tahap kedua menggunakan strategi eksperimental. Tahap pertama mencakup pengukuran lapangan, simulasi, dan kuesioner tertutup untuk menganalisis kinerja pencahayaan, warna elemen ruang, dan persepsi visual. Tahap kedua berupa eksperimen menggunakan immersive virtual reality (IVR), dengan data diperoleh melalui kuesioner terbuka dan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Objek penelitian adalah dua ruang studio arsitektur di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kinerja pencahayaan di ruang studio hanya memenuhi kebutuhan untuk aktivitas menggambar digital sebesar 150 lux. Pada penelitian ini, kinerja pencahayaan paling dipengaruhi oleh pencahayaan buatan, reflektansi elemen ruang, dan pencahayaan alami. Elemen ruang terdiri dari lantai, dinding dan plafon memengaruhi peningkatan kinerja pencahayaan dengan nilai R² = 0,771. Meski pencahayaan berada di bawah standar, pengguna ruang studio memberi penilaian netral hingga positif pada aspek pencahayaan walaupun aktivitas beragam. Hal ini mencerminkan adaptasi perilaku belajar di dalam ruang studio terhadap kondisi visual ruang. Korelasi paling kuat ditemui pada aspek satisfaction dan productivity (β = 0,74; p < 0,001; R² = 0,55). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kepuasan terhadap pencahayaan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas. Melalui eksperimen IVR, pengguna cenderung memilih elemen ruang berwarna putih (R= ±90%), lampu cool white (4000K), dan penutup jendela setengah terbuka. Peran pencahayaan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan sumbernya dimana pencahayaan alami berperan menciptakan suasana ruang. Pencahayaan buatan lebih dominan dalam menentukan kualitas visual seperti brightness, relaxed, dan light color quality terhadap persepsi visual selama beraktivitas di dalam ruang studio.=====================================================================================================================
Lighting influences the quality of a space. As a learning environment, the architecture studio requires lighting that supports various activities, including learning, manual drawing, and digital drawing. Lighting quality is related to productivity and activity within the studio. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of lighting in shaping the quality of a studio space.
This study used a post-positivism paradigm with a combined strategy: a two-phase design. The first phase used a correlation strategy, while the second used an experimental strategy. The first phase includes field measurements, simulations, and closed-ended questionnaires to analyze lighting performance, room element color, and visual perception. The second phase involves an experiment using immersive virtual reality (IVR), with data obtained through open-ended questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The research subjects were two architecture studios at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS).
The results showed that lighting performance in the studio space only met the needs for digital drawing activities at 150 lux. This study finds that lighting performance was most influenced by artificial lighting, reflectance of room elements, and natural lighting. Room elements consisting of floors, walls, and ceilings influenced the improvement of lighting performance with an R² value of 0.771. Although the lighting was below standard, the users gave neutral to positive ratings on the lighting despite the variety of activities. This shows how learning behavior in the studio adapts to the visual conditions of the space. The strongest correlation was found in the aspects of satisfaction and productivity (β = 0.74; p < 0.001; R² = 0.55). These results indicate that increasing satisfaction with lighting can increase productivity. Through the IVR experiment, users tended to choose white room elements (R = ±90%), cool white lights (4000K), and half-open window shades. The role of lighting was classified based on its source where natural lighting played a role in creating the atmosphere of the space. Artificial lighting was more dominant in determining visual qualities such as brightness, relaxed, and light color quality on visual perception during activities in the studio space.
