Abstract
Styphelia javanica (De Vriese) J.J.S. atau yang dikenal rumput melelo, merupakanfloraendemik Pulau Jawa yang ditemukan di kawasan Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru(TNBTS). Tumbuhan ini termasuk famili Ericaceae, berjenis perdu kecil denganadaptasixeromorfik yang mampu tumbuh di lingkungan tandus dan miskin hara. Peran ekologisnyapenting sebagai tumbuhan pionir dan menciptakan habitat mikro. Namun, informasi terkaitprofil dan monitoring persebaran Styphelia javanica (De Vriese) J.J.S. masih sangat terbatas.Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lebih mendalam untuk membahas pengetahuanmengenai pemetaan sebaran habitat dari Styphelia javanica (De Vriese) J.J.S. Penelitianinibertujuan untuk memetakan potensi sebaran habitat Styphelia javanica di kawasanTNBTS.Data dikumpulkan dari lima Resort Pengelolaan Taman Nasional (RPTN) meliputi RPTNWilayah Gunung Penanjakan, RPTN Tengger Laut Pasir, RPTN Ranupane, RPTNCobanTrisula dan RPTN Ranu Darungan yang mewakili 6 tipe tutupan lahan, yaitu hutanprimer,hutan sekunder, semak belukar, sabana, pasir, dan lahan terbuka. Pengambilandatamenggunakan metode purposive sampling pada 48 plot jelajah, dengan pencatatankoordinatGPS, fase pertumbuhan spesies, serta data pendukung yaitu pengukuran faktor lingkunganseperti suhu, intensitas cahaya, kelembapan, kecepatan angin, dan pHtanah. Selanjutnyadilakukan proses analisa spasial menggunakan software ArcGIS 10.8 dengan memasukkan3layer variabel lingkungan yaitu tutupan lahan, ketinggian dan kelerengan. Titiktemuandigunakan sebagai validasi hasil analisa spasial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwaStyphelia javanica ditemukan pada 15 titik temuan, khususnya di habitat sabana (6titik),lahan terbuka (4 titik), pasir (3 titik), dan hutan sekunder (2 titik). Spesies ini tidakditemukanpada lahan hutan primer dan semak belukar. Fase pertumbuhan yang teridentifikasi mencakupseedling, mature, dan mature with flower. Habitat temuan berada pada suhu 17,8°C–24,1°C,intensitas cahaya 20.120–70.060 lux, kelembapan 20,2%–61,6%, kecepatan angin0–1,6m/s,dan pH tanah 6,2–7,0. Sebaran habitat potensial Styphelia javanica terbagi menjadi 3kategoripotensi sebaran. Kategori potensi sebaran tinggi memiliki luasan 12,7 %dari total kawasanTNBTS dengan validasi 13 titik temuan sebesar 86,6%. Kategori potensi sebaransedangmemiliki luasan 46,18 % dari total kawasan TNBTS dengan validasi 2 titik temuansebesar13,3 %. Kategori potensi sebaran rendah memiliki luasan 37,17 %dari total kawasanTNBTS
videngan validasi 0 titik temuan sebesar 0 %. Hasil pemodelan ini diharapkan dapat menjadiacuan awal dalam upaya konservasi Styphelia javanica, serta mendukung perencanaanpengelolaan habitat spesies endemik di kawasan TNBTS.

Styphelia javanica (De Vriese) J.J.S or known as melelo grass is an endemicfloraofJava Island, one of which is found in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park(TNBTS)area. Melelo grass belongs to the Ericaceae family with small shrub-type growththat hasxeromorphic adaptations in barren, dry and minimal nutrient (marginal) environments. Thisplant has a very important role in its habitat, namely as a pioneer plant and helps createmicro-habitats in its growth area. However, information related to the profile and monitoringofthedistribution of Styphelia javanica (De Vriese) J.J.S. is still very limited. Therefore, morein-depth research is needed to discuss knowledge about habitat distribution mapping of Stypheliajavanica (De Vriese) J.J.S. The purpose of this research is to create a map modelingthehabitat suitability of melelo grass (Styphelia javanica (De Vriese) J.J.S.) in theBromoTengger Semeru National Park area. Field data were collected from five Resort ManagementUnits (RPTN) including RPTN Penanjakan Mountain Area, RPTN Tengger Laut Pasir, RPTNRanupane, RPTN Coban Trisula and RPTN Ranu Darungan, representing six types of landcover: primary forest, secondary forest, shrubland, savanna, sandy area, and openland. Datacollection was conducted using purposive sampling on 48 exploratory plots, includingGPScoordinates, growth stages of the species, and supporting environmental parameters suchastemperature, light intensity, humidity, wind speed, and soil pH. Spatial analysiswasperformed using ArcGIS 10.8 by integrating three environmental variable layers is landcover,elevation and slope. Species occurrence points were used to validate the spatial analysisresults. The findings show that Styphelia javanica was recorded in 15locations,predominantly in savanna (6 points), open land (4), sandy areas (3), and secondaryforest (2),while it was absent in primary forest and shrubland. Observed growth stages includedseedling, mature, and mature with flower. Habitat conditions where the species was foundranged from 17.8°C to 24.1°C in temperature, 20,120 to 70,060 lux in light intensity, 20.2%to 61.6% in humidity, 0 to 1.6 m/s in wind speed, and soil pH of 6.2 to 7.0. The modeledpotential habitat was classified into three categories: high potential (12.7%of the TNBTSarea;13 validation points, 86.6%), medium potential (46.18%; 2 points, 13.3%), and lowpotential(37.17%; 0 points, 0%). This research is expected to provide information related to the
viiimapping of potential habitat distribution of melelo grass (Styphelia javanica (DeVriese)J.J.S.), and a reference for the direction of further conservation of endemic species in BromoTengger Semeru National Park.
