Abstract

Redesain interior restoran Omah Pawon di Kediri dilakukan sebagai salah satu strategi agar lebih kompetitif, menarik, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan serta preferensi pengunjung masa kini. Meskipun kualitas makanan dinilai baik, restoran mengalami penurunan pengunjung, diduga karena kurangnya daya tarik dari aspek ruang dan pengalaman yang ditawarkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Interior Design Thinking dengan tahapan understanding, empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test, untuk memahami kebutuhan pengunjung, mengidentifikasi permasalahan, serta merancang solusi desain yang tepat dan optimal. Nuansa budaya lokal yang diimplementasikan pada desain interiornya tidak hanya mengedepankan estetika dan kenyamanan, tetapi juga menghadirkan pengalaman ruang yang berkesan bagi pengunjung serta dapat memperkenalkan dan melestarikan budaya Kediri melalui pendekatan yang autentik. Kemudian, salah satu inovasi yang diterapkan adalah penambahan zona interaktif bertema budaya lokal yang dipisahkan dari area makan, sebagai daya tarik tambahan tanpa mengganggu fungsi utama restoran. Hasil akhir dari desain diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kunjungan ulang, memperkuat positioning restoran di antara kompetitor, serta menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi wisatawan.

The interior redesign of Omah Pawon restaurant in Kediri was carried out as one of the strategies to be more competitive, attractive, and relevant to the needs and preferences of today's diners. Although the quality of food is considered good, the restaurant has experienced a decline in visitors, allegedly due to a lack of attractiveness from the aspect of space and experience offered. This research uses the Interior Design Thinking method with the stages of understand, empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, to understand the needs of visitors, identify problems, and design appropriate and optimal design solutions. The local cultural nuances implemented in the interior design not only prioritize aesthetics and comfort, but also present a memorable space experience for visitors and can introduce and preserve Kediri culture through an authentic approach. Then, one of the innovations applied is the addition of a local culture-themed interactive zone separated from the dining area, as an additional attraction without disturbing the main function of the restaurant. The final result of the design is expected to increase repeat visits, strengthen the positioning of the restaurant among competitors, and become a special attraction for tourists.
