Abstract

Liquid bulk jetty is an important infrastructure that serves as a berthing and loading facility for ships transporting fuel gas. This study designs an alternative jetty at PLTGU Tanjung Batu to serve vessels with a capacity of up to 20,000 DWT. A precast concrete system was selected as an efficient solution to the construction challenges in the Mahakam River, which has significant water level fluctuations and a high risk of environmental damage. The methodology involved collecting technical data, preparing preliminary designs, analyzing the structure using software, drawing structural elements, and preparing implementation methods. Precast systems were applied to various major elements to improve the efficiency of implementation time and quality of work. The structural analysis took into account the actual work load and local environmental conditions. The planning results yielded the following structural element dimensions: 3200 × 1050 × 350 mm platform precast slab and 3300 × 1150 × 350 mm trestle; 1000 × 800 mm platform U-beam and 900 × 700 mm trestle U-beam; 1750 × 1750 mm platform
pilecap and 1250 × 1250 mm trestle pilecap. Berthing dolphin 5000 × 7000 mm with 2000 mm thickness is equipped with CSS fender 1250 grade 1.6, and mooring dolphin 3000 × 3000 mm with 1500 mm thickness is equipped with 22.5 tons capacity tee bollard. Catwalks are designed in three types with spans of 18 m, 11 m, and 5 m, 1.5 m wide and 1 m high. Steel pile foundations of Ø700 mm (platform, berthing), Ø600 mm (mooring) and Ø500 mm (trestle) were driven to a depth of 46m. All precast connections were designed with standardized channeling lengths to ensure structural rigidity and continuity.
