Abstract
Emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK) dari sektor pertanian dan peternakan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap perubahan iklim global. Kecamatan Gending, yang terletak di wilayah dataran rendah, memiliki aktivitas pertanian dan peternakan yang beragam, yang berpotensi menghasilkan emisi GRK dari berbagai sumber, seperti fermentasi enterik, pengelolaan kotoran ternak, dan praktik penggunaan lahan pertanian. Kondisi ini mewakili sebagian wilayah di pulau Jawa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi emisi GRK dari sektor pertanian dan peternakan di Kecamatan Gending sebagai role model, dengan pendekatan berbasis data aktivitas dan faktor emisi yang relevan, menyesuaikan dengan panduan IPCC 2006. Metode penelitian ini mencakup pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder mengenai populasi ternak, jenis sistem pengelolaan kotoran, pola penggunaan lahan pertanian, serta jenis dan jumlah pupuk yang digunakan. Selanjutnya, perhitungan emisi GRK dilakukan dengan merujuk pada pedoman Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) serta kajian literatur terkait. Dengan metode yang ada didapat Emisi Spesifik Sektor pertanian sebesar sebesar 3083,529 Kg CO2 eq/(hektar tahun) dan emisi spesifik peternakan sebesar 1219,34 Kg CO2 eq/(AU tahun). Didapat sumbangan emisi terbesar untuk sektor pertanian yaitu dari emisi CH4 lahan sawah. Sementara untuk emisi terbesar untuk sektor peternakan yaitu dari fermentasi enterik. Untuk meminimalkan emisi tersebut perlu dilakukan kajian dan evaluasi terhadap praktik pertanian dan peternakan di Kecamatan Gending, seperti manajemen pakan ternak dan pupuk yang baik,sehingga mengoptimalkan hasil dan mencegah timbulan emisi berlebih.

Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the agriculture and livestock sectors contribute significantly to global climate change. Gending Subdistrict, located in a lowland area, has diverse agricultural and livestock activities that potentially produce GHG emissions from various sources, such as enteric fermentation, manure management, and agricultural land use practices. This condition represents a portion of the regions in Java Island. Therefore, this study aims to inventory GHG emissions from the agriculture and livestock sectors in Gending Subdistrict as a role model, using an approach based on activity data and relevant emission factors, following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines. This research method includes collecting primary and secondary data on livestock populations, types of manure management systems, agricultural land use patterns, as well as the types and amounts of fertilizers used. GHG emissions are then calculated by referring to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines and related literature. Using the existing method, the specific emissions of the agricultural sector were found to be 3083,529 kg CO₂-eq per hectare per year, and the specific emissions of the livestock sector were 1219,34 kg CO₂-eq per AU per year.The largest emission contribution in the agricultural sector comes from CH₄ emissions from paddy fields, while the largest emission in the livestock sector comes from enteric fermentation. To minimize these emissions, it is necessary to conduct a study and evaluation of agricultural and livestock practices in Gending Subdistrict, such as proper livestock feed and fertilizer management, in order to optimize yields and prevent excessive emissions.
