Abstract

Perancangan arsitektur senantiasa menghadapi tantangan dalam merespons konteks tapak dan kebutuhan spesifik pengguna. Tugas akhir ini mencakup dua proyek rumah tinggal mewah yang berbeda konteks: perancangan rumah tinggal "AS House" di Mulyosari Surabaya dan perancangan rumah tinggal "MC House" di Graha Famili Surabaya. Keduanya mengacu pada penerapan 13 kompeten Arsitek sebagaimana dirumuskan oleh Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI), yang menjadi pondasi utama dalam proses perancangan. Proyek pertama "AS House", berlokasi di kawasan Mulyosari pada lahan tusuk sate dengan orientasi lahan menghadap Barat. Memiliki lahan seluas 560 m2 atau setara tiga kavling, klien menginginkan adanya paviliun (rumah yang terpisah dengan rumah induk) untuk tempat tinggal orang tua klien. Hal ini menjadi tantangan utama dalam menyusun zonasi ruang yang nyaman, privat, dan tetap terintegrasi. Proyek kedua "MC House", terletak di kawasan Graha Famili Surabaya dengan orientasi tapak menghadap ke Timur Laut. Rumah ini dirancang oleh empat anggota keluarga dan menitikberatkan konsep desain pada pemanfaatan potensi lingkungan sekitar, seperti sirkulasi udara dan pencahayaan alami. Konteks kawasan hunian elit dengan infrastruktur lingkungan yang tertata rapi menjadi latar yang mendorong terciptanya desain hunian yang efisien sehat dan berkelanjutan. Pendekatan modern tropis diimplementasikan untuk menciptakan hubungan harmonis antara ruang luar dan dalam. Melalui penerapan prinsip-prinsip profesionalisme arsitek dan kompetensi IAI secara menyeluruh, kedua proyek ini bertujuan menghadirkan solusi desain yang tidak hanya menjawab kebutuhan fungsional dan estetika, tetapi juga memperhatikan aspek keberlanjutan serta peningkatan kualitas hidup penggunannya.

Architectural design always faces challenges in responding to the site context and the specific needs of users. This final project covers two luxury residential projects with different contexts: the design of the "AS House" residence in Mulyosari Surabaya and the design of the "MC House" residence in Graha Famili Surabaya. Both refer to the application of 13 Architect competencies as formulated by the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI), which is the main foundation in the design process. The first project "AS House", is located in the Mulyosari area on a skewer plot with a land orientation facing West. Having a land area of 560 m2 or the equivalent of three plots, the client wanted a pavilion (a house separate from the main house) for the client's parents' residence. This became the main challenge in designing a comfortable, private, and integrated space zoning. The second project "MC House", is located in the Graha Famili Surabaya area with a site orientation facing Northeast. This house was designed by four family members and emphasizes the design concept on utilizing the potential of the surrounding environment, such as air circulation and natural lighting. The context of an elite residential area with well-organized environmental infrastructure provides a backdrop that encourages the creation of efficient, healthy, and sustainable residential designs. A modern tropical approach is implemented to create a harmonious relationship between outdoor and indoor spaces. Through the comprehensive application of the principles of architectural professionalism and IAI competency, these two projects aim to present design solutions that not only address functional and aesthetic needs but also consider sustainability aspects and improve the quality of life of their users.
