Abstract
Penerapan 13 kompetensi dasar arsitek dari Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI) menjadi landasan utama dalam proses perancangan arsitektur profesional. Laporan ini merefleksikan implementasi kompetensi tersebut melalui tiga proyek: Rumah Verandas di Surabaya, Villa Santorini di Kota Batu, dan Kantor serta Shelter LPG Pertashop di Kabupaten Malang.
Setiap proyek menghadirkan tantangan berbeda, mulai dari perancangan hunian tropis yang estetis dan fungsional, adaptasi terhadap kontur dan iklim dataran tinggi, hingga pemenuhan regulasi teknis dan keselamatan bangunan publik. Melalui tahapan analisis, konseptualisasi, hingga perancangan teknis, seluruh kompetensi berhasil diterapkan secara kontekstual.
Laporan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kompetensi IAI tidak hanya membentuk solusi desain yang relevan dan profesional, tetapi juga meningkatkan kualitas arsitektur yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan pengguna dan lingkungan.

The application of the 13 core architectural competencies established by the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) serves as the main foundation in the professional architectural design process. This report reflects the implementation of these competencies through three distinct projects: the Verandas House in Surabaya, the Santorini-style Villa in Batu, and the Office and LPG Shelter Pertashop Facility in Malang Regency.
Each project presents different challenges—ranging from designing a tropical residential home with both aesthetic and functional qualities, adapting to hilly terrain and mountain climates, to fulfilling technical and safety regulations for public-use buildings. From site analysis and conceptual development to technical design, all competencies were contextually applied.
The report demonstrates that applying IAI’s competencies not only results in relevant and professional design solutions but also enhances architectural quality that is responsive to user needs and the surrounding environment.
