Abstract

Multi fluid transfer in a plant plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production process. Therefore, this study discusses the application of multi fluid transfer using a batching pipeline system, in which fluids from two tanks are alternately delivered through a single pipeline. The batching pipeline system enables the transport of various products without requiring separate pipelines for each product. Additionally, to clean the pipeline from residual fluids, this study employs an air blowing system aimed at minimizing fluid cross-contamination. The implementation of the air blowing system in this study was able to reduce fluid mixing, as reflected by an improvement in the percentage of contamination by 3.556%. To achieve an optimal air blowing system, tests were conducted to determine the most effective duration, resulting in a 5-second pressurized air flow being sufficient to clean residual fluid effectively. Furthermore, in terms of volume accuracy, this study ensured that the delivered fluids reached a high level of precision. The results showed that the error in fluid delivery, measured by the deviation in fluid height, was 0.24% and 2.42%, respectively.
