Abstract
Dalam konteks pasca-pandemi, rumah sebagai tempat kerja menjadi semakin penting, terutama bagi lansia yang membutuhkan ruang nyaman dan aman untuk mendukung aktivitas kerja dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Studi ini menyoroti peran arsitektur dalam memenuhi kebutuhan lansia yang tetap aktif bekerja. Lebih dari 50% lansia di Indonesia masih bekerja pada 2023, dengan lebih dari 80% di sektor informal, sebagian besar di bidang pertanian. Dalam konteks ini, rumah sebagai tempat kerja berfokus pada aktivitas pertanian.
Elemen keterjangkauan arsitektural diidentifikasi sebagai faktor utama dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan di lingkungan rumah-kerja. Dengan menerapkan metode tipologi, studi ini menganalisis beberapa contoh rumah pertanian untuk membandingkan dan menemukan desain terbaik dalam konteks tersebut. Usulan ini bertujuan menciptakan ruang yang nyaman, ramah usia, dan mendukung kemandirian serta fleksibilitas dalam rutinitas hidup dan bekerja bagi lansia. Hasil rancangan mencakup hunian yang memungkinkan kegiatan bekerja sekaligus bermukim, terdiri atas dua tipe yaitu rumah satu lantai dan rumah dua lantai, dengan ruang kerja di area atap pada rumah satu lantai. Selain itu, untuk mendukung konsep pertanian vertikal, disediakan jalur pejalan kaki melayang yang menjaga sirkulasi kendaraan dan aktivitas pertanian tetap lancar tanpa gangguan.

In the post-pandemic context, home-workplace environments have become increasingly significant, especially for elderly, who require spaces that accommodate both work and daily living with ease and safety. This study focuses on the evolving role of architecture in meeting the needs of elderly who remain active in the workforce. Over 50% of Indonesia’s elderly population was still employed in 2023, with more than 80% working in the informal sector, a large portion in agriculture. Given this context, the proposed home as a workspace will center around agricultural activities.
Key architectural affordances are identified as essential for enhancing productivity and well-being in these home-workplace environments. By applying typology method to propose the arrangement of spatial connection, a study of several home agriculture was done to compare and find the best design among various building types for home workspace in agriculture context. This proposal aims to provide a framework for creating comfortable, age-friendly spaces that support both independence and comfort in flexible, integrated living and working settings for elderly users. The design outcome includes housing that afford both working and dwelling activities, consisting two types of housing namely one story housing and two story housing with a rooftop workspace in the roofing area of the one story housing. Beside, to support the boundaries providing vertical agriculture, there is a floating pedestrian to create an undisturbed circulation of both vehicle mobility and agriculture activities.
