Abstract
Over topping terjadi pada hulu Bendung Barubug, Kecamatan Jatisari, Kabupaten Karawang, Jawa Barat, menjadi masalah utama. Proyek ini ditujukan untuk mengendalikan banjir dan meningkatkan pengelolaan sumber daya air di wilayah tersebut. Dengan adanya penambahan Emergency Spillway Ciherang dan Cilamaya, penting untuk merumuskan pola operasi yang efektif untuk mengatasi masalah over topping yang terjadi selama banjir susulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan pola operasi yang optimal.
Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi pengumpulan data curah hujan, debit puncak, dan ketinggian muka air. Data ini dianalisis untuk memahami karakteristik aliran dan pola hujan di sekitar Bendung Barubug. Selain itu, analisis karakteristik Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) dilakukan menggunakan data Digital Elevation Model Nasional (DEMNAS) untuk menentukan bagaimana air hujan mengalir di dalam sistem sungai. Pengolahan data curah hujan juga dilakukan melalui Uji Outlier, dan analisis distribusi hujan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang akurat.
Setelah data hidrologi dianalisis, penelitian ini akan merencanakan pola operasi Bendung Barugbug existing dan merencanakan pola operasi baru setelah penambahan dua emergency spillway, berdasarkan pile scale pada Bendung Barugbug. Melalui perhitungan debit dan muka air banjir, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi yang tepat dalam pengelolaan air, sehingga infrastruktur dapat lebih optimal dalam menghadapi kondisi perubahan iklim di masa depan. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengelolaan sumber daya air yang lebih baik dan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Karawang.

Overtopping has occurred upstream of the Barugbug Weir, located in Jatisari District, Karawang Regency, West Java, posing a major issue. This project aims to control flooding and improve water resource management in the area. With the addition of the Ciherang and Cilamaya Emergency Spillways, it is essential to formulate an effective operational scheme to address overtopping problems during subsequent flood events. This study aims to design an optimal operation pattern.
The methodology employed in this study includes the collection of rainfall data, peak discharge, and water surface elevation. These data are analyzed to understand the flow characteristics and rainfall patterns in the vicinity of Barugbug Weir. Furthermore, watershed characteristics are examined using data from the National Digital Elevation Model (DEMNAS) to determine how rainwater flows through the river system. Rainfall data processing also includes outlier testing and rainfall distribution analysis to obtain accurate and reliable information.
Following the hydrological data analysis, the study will develop the current operational pattern of the existing Barugbug Weir and propose a new operational pattern after the integration of the two emergency spillways, based on the pile scale configuration of the structure. Through flood discharge and water level calculations, this research seeks to provide appropriate recommendations for water management, allowing the infrastructure to function more effectively under future climate change scenarios. The results of this study are expected to contribute to improved and sustainable water resource management in Karawang Regency.
