Abstract

Penelitian ini menunjukkan penggunaan Augmented Reality (AR) dan Virtual Reality (VR), berdasarkan Google Cardboard sebagai solusi inovatif berbiaya rendah untuk meningkatkan interaksi dan pengalaman pengguna dalam belanja online. Metode konvensional pemilihan produk fashion sering mengandalkan gambar statis atau deskripsi produk yang terbatas, yang berarti kompatibilitas antara harapan pelanggan dan produk yang diperoleh. Dengan menggunakan AR dan VR, pengguna dapat mencoba pakaian dan aksesori dalam lingkungan yang lebih realistis dan luas. Google Cardboard telah dipilih sebagai media utama, karena terjangkau (rendah biaya) dan mudah diakses untuk berbagai konsumen. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 peserta antara usia 20 dan 40 dan membandingkan pengalaman berbelanja menggunakan AR dan VR berbasis Google Cardboard dengan metode konvensional. Hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara metode konvensional dengan teknologi AR (Z = -4,00, p < 0,05) serta VR (Z = -3,47, p < 0,05). Selain itu, hasil uji NASA-TLX menunjukkan bahwa AR dan VR memiliki beban kerja mental yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Secara kualitatif, peserta menyatakan bahwa penggunaan AR dan VR memberikan pengalaman belanja yang lebih menyenangkan, realistis, dan membantu dalam mengambil keputusan pembelian. Melalui pengujian dan eksperimen, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai AR dan VR dapat meningkatkan pengalaman pelanggan dalam industri ritel digital, dan dapat dioptimalkan untuk masa depan industri E-commerce.

This study demonstrates the use of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), based on Google Cardboard, as an innovative low-cost solution to enhance user interaction and experience in online shopping. Fashion product selection methods often rely on statistical images or limited product descriptions, which means compatibility between customer expectations and the products obtained. Users can use AR and VR to try on clothes and accessories in a more realistic and
expansive environment. Google Cardboard has been chosen as the main medium because it is affordable (low cost) and easily accessible to many consumers. This study consisted of 30 participants between the ages of 20 and 40 and compared the shopping experience using Google Cardboard-based AR and VR with conventional methods. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test showed a significant difference between the conventional method and AR technology (Z = 4.00, p < 0.05) and VR (Z = -3.47, p < 0.05). In addition, the NASA-TLX test results showed that AR and VR had a lower mental workload than conventional methods. Qualitatively, participants stated that AR and VR provided a more enjoyable, realistic shopping experience and helped make purchasing decisions. Through testing and experiments, this study aims to assess whether AR and VR can improve customer experience in the digital retail industry, and can be optimised for the future of the E-commerce industry.
