Abstract
Proyek akhir ini membahas desain alternatif struktur Gedung Sekolah Kristen Gloria yang berlokasi di Surabaya, dengan kondisi tanah berupa tanah lunak dan total luas bangunan sebesar 1661 m², terdiri dari 6 lantai dan 1 lantai atap. Struktur eksisting menggunakan sistem ganda berupa rangka pemikul momen khusus dan dinding geser beton bertulang, sesuai dengan kategori risiko IV dan zona seismik D berdasarkan SNI 1726:2019. Meskipun material beton bertulang memiliki kelebihan seperti ketahanan terhadap api dan korosi, kekurangannya adalah berat yang besar dan waktu konstruksi yang lebih lama. Sebagai alternatif, struktur baja dengan sistem bresing eksentris ditawarkan karena bobotnya yang lebih ringan, fleksibel dalam desain, dan waktu konstruksi yang lebih cepat. Namun demikian, baja juga memiliki kelemahan seperti kerentanan terhadap korosi dan biaya yang lebih tinggi. Perencanaan alternatif ini mengacu pada SNI 1726:2019 dan SNI 1729:2020 dengan tujuan menghasilkan struktur baja tahan gempa yang optimal dan efisien dalam pelaksanaan konstruksi.
Hasil dari perhitungan didapatkan bahwa alternatif struktur baja dengan bresing eksentris V terbalik memiliki periode sebesar 1.164 detik, simpangan pada lantai terasas sebesar 30.703 mm pada arah y dan 36.896 mm pada arah x, masih dibawah dari simpangan ijin. Kontrol P-∆ juga menunjukan bahwa gedung stabil karena nilai ⍬ tidak melebihi ⍬maks. Harga total struktur alternatif desain ini sebesar Rp22,459,620,807 (dua puluh dua miliar empat ratus lima puluh sembilan juta enam ratus dua puluh ribu seratus delapan ratur tujuh rupiah).

This final project discusses an alternative structural design for the Gloria Christian School Building located in Surabaya, situated on soft soil with a total building area of 1,661 m², consisting of six floors and one roof level. The existing structure uses a dual system consisting of a special moment-resisting frame and special reinforced concrete shear walls, classified under Risk Category IV and Seismic Design Category D based on SNI 1726:2019. Although reinforced concrete offers advantages such as fire resistance and durability against corrosion, it has drawbacks including heavier weight and longer construction time. As an alternative, a steel structure with inverted V-type eccentrically braced frames is proposed due to its lighter weight, design flexibility, and faster construction process. However, steel structures also have disadvantages, such as vulnerability to corrosion and relatively higher costs. This alternative design refers to SNI 1726:2019 and SNI 1729:2020, aiming to produce an earthquake-resistant steel structure that performs optimally and is efficient during construction.
Based on the structural analysis, the alternative design with inverted V-type eccentrically braced steel frames has a fundamental period of 1.164 seconds. The roof-level displacement is 30.703 mm in the Y-direction and 36.896 mm in the X-direction, both within allowable limits. The P-Δ effect check also confirms that the structure is stable, as the ⍬ value does not exceed the maximum allowable ⍬. The total estimated cost for this alternative structural design is IDR 22,459,620,807 (twenty-two billion four hundred fifty-nine million six hundred twenty thousand eight hundred and seven rupiah).
