Abstract

This report presents two architectural design projects completed during the Professional Program in Architecture at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember: Seja House and Henry Villa. Both are residential design projects with different scales, contexts, and user needs, yet united by a shared commitment to climate-responsive architecture and spatial quality. Seja House is a compact urban dwelling located in Jakarta Garden City, designed for a young family. The project responds to the limitations of suburban housing by optimizing cross ventilation, integrating natural lighting, and emphasizing indoor-outdoor connectivity. With a site area of 120 m², the residence applies tropical design principles through a void system, extended eaves, and porous façades, creating a healthy and energy-efficient living environment. Henry Villa, on the other hand, is a larger-scale tropical residence situated in Ungasan, Bali. Designed as a private retreat, the villa blends modern form with vernacular elements, offering a sequence of serene indoor and semi-outdoor spaces.
