Abstract

Dalam menghadapi persaingan kerja di era globalisasi dan digitalisasi, pendidikan vokasi dituntut untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang tidak hanya menguasai teori, tetapi juga memiliki keterampilan praktis yang relevan dengan kebutuhan industri. Departemen Statistika Bisnis, Fakultas Vokasi, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) menerapkan program magang sebagai mata kuliah wajib untuk menjembatani dunia akademik dan industri. Pada laporan ini, mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan magang di PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk, unit bisnis beton pracetak dari PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, yang berperan strategis dalam pembangunan infrastruktur nasional. Selama magang, mahasiswa terlibat dalam pengolahan data produksi, pengendalian kualitas, analisis risiko, serta penyusunan laporan berbasis data untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan manajerial. Selain keterampilan teknis, program ini juga mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, komunikasi, kerja tim, dan profesionalisme. Hasil pelaksanaan magang menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan mahasiswa statistika dalam lingkungan kerja industri konstruksi dan manufaktur mampu memberikan kontribusi positif bagi efisiensi operasional perusahaan sekaligus meningkatkan kesiapan lulusan dalam menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja.

In the face of job competition in the era of globalization and digitalization, vocational education is required to produce graduates who not only master theory but also possess practical skills relevant to industry needs. The Department of Business Statistics, Faculty of Vocational Studies, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) implements an internship program as a mandatory course to bridge the gap between academia and industry. This report describes the implementation of the internship at PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk, the precast concrete business unit of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, which plays a strategic role in national infrastructure development. During the internship, students were involved in production data processing, quality control, risk analysis, and the preparation of data-based reports to support managerial decision-making. In addition to technical skills, the program also develops critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and professionalism. The results of the internship implementation indicate that the involvement of statistics students in the industrial construction and manufacturing work environment can contribute positively to operational efficiency while enhancing graduates' readiness to meet the demands of the job market.
