Abstract
Pada era modern, masyarakat yang tinggal di rumah susun atau apartemen sering mengalami keterbatasan ruang dan ketergantungan pada cuaca dalam proses pengeringan pakaian. Pengeringan secara manual dinilai kurang efisien karena memerlukan waktu yang lama dan hasil yang tidak konsisten. Penelitian ini merancang sistem pengering pakaian gantung otomatis berbasis Arduino Mega 2560 yang terintegrasi dengan automatic clothesline, menggunakan sensor DHT22, LDR, dan load cell. Sistem bekerja dengan perpindahan panas radiasi dan konveksi untuk mengoptimalkan proses pengeringan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem otomatis mampu menurunkan massa pakaian sebesar 1300 gram dengan persentase pengeringan 44,83% secara konsisten. Sebaliknya, metode konvensional menunjukkan hasil yang bervariasi, dengan rata-rata penurunan massa 1166,67 gram dan pengeringan 39,75%. Sistem ini terbukti lebih efisien dan stabil dalam mengurangi kadar air pada pakaian. Kestabilan penurunan massa dan kelembapan dalam semua percobaan membuktikan bahwa sistem mampu menjaga performa pengeringan secara konsisten, sedangkan metode konvensional masih menunjukkan fluktuasi akibat distribusi panas dan udara yang tidak merata.

In the modern era, residents of apartments or flats often face limited space and dependence on weather conditions for drying clothes. Manual drying is considered inefficient due to its long duration and inconsistent results. This study designs an automatic hanging clothes dryer system based on Arduino Mega 2560, integrated with an automatic clothesline, and equipped with DHT22, LDR, and load cell sensors. The system operates using radiation and convection heat transfer to optimize the drying process. Test results show that the automatic system consistently reduced the mass of clothes by 1300 grams with a drying percentage of 44.83%. In contrast, the conventional method showed varying results, with an average mass reduction of 1166.67 grams and a drying percentage of 39.75%. This system proved to be more efficient and stable in reducing moisture content in clothes. The consistent reduction in mass and humidity in all trials indicates that the system maintains drying performance reliably, while the conventional method still shows fluctuations due to uneven heat and air distribution.
