Abstract

Dalam industri maritim, sistem domestic pada kapal tugboat memegang peran penting untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih kru kapal, seperti mandi, mencuci, dan pemeliharaan kebersihan. Pemilihan antara sistem Full Fresh Water (FFW) dan sistem Hybrid (HYB) berpengaruh langsung terhadap efisiensi biaya operasional, konsumsi energi, dan biaya perawatan kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbandingan efisiensi antara sistem FFW dan HYB pada kapal tugboat yang beroperasi di Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi langsung, wawancara dengan chief engineer dan kru kapal, serta studi dokumentasi. Variabel yang dianalisis mencakup load profile, biaya operasional, biaya maintenance, konsumsi energi, dan endurance sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem HYB mampu menghemat biaya operasional hingga sekitar Rp 1.800.000 dalam periode tiga bulan, dengan total biaya Rp 4.090.000, lebih rendah dibandingkan sistem FFW yang mencapai Rp 5.880.000. Namun, HYB memiliki konsumsi energi lebih tinggi, yaitu 290 kWh dibandingkan FFW sebesar 180 kWh, serta biaya maintenance lebih besar yakni Rp 1.150.000 dibandingkan Rp 600.000 pada FFW. Dari sisi endurance, kedua sistem pada dasarnya dapat menunjang pengoperasian 24 jam penuh, namun HYB memiliki interval pengisian ulang air tawar yang lebih panjang karena konsumsi air tawarnya lebih sedikit. Secara keseluruhan, sistem HYB lebih unggul dari sisi efisiensi biaya jangka panjang, meskipun memerlukan perhatian lebih pada aspek perawatan dan konsumsi energi. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan teknis dan ekonomis dalam pemilihan sistem domestic yang optimal pada kapal tugboat di pelabuhan besar.

In the maritime industry, the domestic system on tugboats plays an important role in meeting the crew's clean water needs, such as bathing, washing, and maintaining cleanliness. The choice between the Full Fresh Water (FFW) system and the Hybrid (HYB) system directly affects the efficiency of operational costs, energy consumption, and ship maintenance costs. This study aims to analyze the efficiency comparison between the FFW and HYB systems on tugboats operating at Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya. The research methods used include direct observation, interviews with the chief engineer and ship crew, and documentation studies. The variables analyzed include load profiles, operational costs, maintenance costs, energy consumption, and system endurance. The results show that the HYB system is able to save operational costs of up to approximately IDR 1,800,000 in a three-month period, with a total cost of IDR 4,090,000, lower than the FFW system which reached IDR 5,880,000. However, the HYB system has higher energy consumption, at 290 kWh compared to the 180 kWh of the FFW system, and higher maintenance costs, at Rp 1,150,000 compared to Rp 600,000 for the FFW system. In terms of endurance, both systems can essentially support 24-hour operation, but the HYB system has longer freshwater refill intervals due to its lower freshwater consumption. Overall, the HYB system is superior in terms of long-term cost efficiency, although it requires more attention to maintenance and energy consumption. This research is expected to provide a technical and economic reference in selecting the optimal domestic system for tugboats in large ports
