Abstract

One of the UK's most story-filled destinations is Southampton, a city rich in culture and history. It has a significant place in world maritime history as the location of the Titanic's departure. This project aims to honor the memory of those who perished in the tragedy while commemorating one of humanity's greatest engineering feats.
Addressing Southampton’s limited entertainment and leisure facilities, the proposal introduces a hotel seamlessly integrated with recreational spaces along the city’s renowned waterfront. The design emphasizes both relaxation and cultural enrichment, creating a destination that meets the needs of residents and visitors alike.
Inspired by the iconic shape of the Titanic, the structure uses cutting-edge architectural ideas and sustainable greenery to improve its aesthetic and environmental value. In addition to being a hotel, the project hopes to develop into a thriving center for history, culture, and leisure that will enhance local life, draw tourists, and transform Southampton's recreational scene.
