Abstract

Penurunan produktivitas alat gali muat EX2600 di area pertambangan PT. Kideco Jaya Agung menjadi tantangan utama dalam menjaga efisiensi operasional. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, praktik keinsinyuran ini menerapkan metode Scrum in Operation (SiO) sebagai pendekatan manajemen kerja berbasis iterasi dan kolaborasi. Praktik dilaksanakan selama empat bulan dengan fokus pada peningkatan produktivitas, pengurangan waktu henti (stop time), serta penerapan prinsip etika dan profesionalisme kerja. Metode Scrum diterapkan melalui tahapan Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, dan Sprint Retrospective yang secara aktif melibatkan operator, pengawas, dan analis lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara harian, mencakup parameter utama seperti produktivitas (HiG), loading time, empty stop time, dan load stop time. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan produktivitas signifikan pada bulan Juni, disertai penurunan waktu henti dan perbaikan alur kerja. Selain capaian teknis, praktik ini juga menekankan pentingnya integritas data, keterbukaan komunikasi tim, serta pengambilan keputusan yang mempertimbangkan aspek keselamatan dan tanggung jawab sosial. Etika profesi tidak hanya menjadi panduan normatif, tetapi juga diintegrasikan dalam setiap proses kerja sebagai bagian dari budaya tim. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Scrum dapat menjadi sarana strategis dalam membangun lingkungan kerja yang produktif, efisien, dan etis di sektor pertambangan.

The declining productivity of the EX2600 excavation equipment at PT. Kideco Jaya Agung’s mining site posed a significant operational challenge. To address this issue, this engineering practice applied the Scrum in Operation (SiO) method, a collaborative and iterative work management approach. Conducted over four months, the project focused on enhancing productivity, reducing downtime, and upholding ethical and professional engineering standards. Scrum was implemented through Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective phases, actively engaging operators, supervisors, and field analysts. Daily data collection included key performance indicators such as productivity (HiG), loading time, empty stop time, and load stop time. The results showed a significant increase in productivity by June, along with reduced idle times and improved workflow coordination. Beyond technical improvements, this practice emphasized data integrity, team transparency, and ethical decision-making concerning safety and social responsibility. Engineering ethics were not only treated as a normative guideline but were embedded into the daily operations as part of the team's work culture. These findings indicate that the Scrum method can serve as a strategic tool to foster a productive, efficient, and ethically sound work environment in the mining sector.
