Abstract
Grab Bucket Ship Unloader merupakan alat berat yang digunakan untuk memindahkan material curah dari kapal ke daratan dengan sistem pengangkatan tali baja (wire rope). Salah satu komponen penting dalam sistem ini adalah rope box pada rope roller guide, yang berfungsi sebagai penopang dan pengarah tali baja agar tetap stabil saat proses bongkar muat berlangsung. Dalam praktiknya, rope box mengalami keausan atau kerusakan seiring waktu, sehingga diperlukan proses manufaktur ulang untuk menjaga kinerja alat tetap optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan proses manufaktur rope box secara sistematis, mulai dari identifikasi material, pemilihan proses pemesinan, penentuan urutan operasi, hingga estimasi waktu dan biaya produksi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis teknis pada gambar kerja, pemilihan mesin dan alat potong yang sesuai, serta pertimbangan efisiensi produksi dan keselamatan kerja. Hasil dari perencanaan ini menunjukkan bahwa proses manufaktur rope box dapat dilakukan melalui tahapan pemotongan, pembubutan, frais, pengeboran, dan pengelasan. Dengan perencanaan yang tepat, rope box dapat diproduksi secara efisien serta memenuhi standar kualitas dan kekuatan yang dibutuhkan dalam operasional Grab Bucket Ship Unloader.

The Grab Bucket Ship Unloader is a heavy-duty machine used for transferring bulk materials from ships to land using a wire rope lifting system. One crucial component in this system is the rope box on the rope roller guide, which serves to support and guide the wire rope to remain stable during the unloading process. Over time, the rope box may experience wear or damage, requiring remanufacturing to maintain the equipment's optimal performance. This internship project aims to systematically plan the manufacturing process of the rope box, starting from material identification, machining process selection, operation sequence determination, to production time and cost estimation. The methods used include technical analysis of working drawings, appropriate machine and cutting tool selection, and considerations of production efficiency and work safety. The results of this planning show that the manufacturing process of the rope box can be carried out through stages such as cutting, turning, milling, drilling, and welding. With proper planning, the rope box can be produced efficiently while meeting the required quality and strength standards for operation in the Grab Bucket Ship Unloader system.
