Abstract
The development of complex housing projects like Summarecon Bogor has a multidimensional impact on surrounding area, especially social and economic. This study aims to find out the influence of complex housing development on local communities around Nargrak Village, Sukaraja Village, Sukatani Village, Cibanon Village, and Gununggeulis Village in Bogor Regency. The research method uses a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative) with spatial techniques to facilitate in identifying affected areas. The research is complemented with Validity and Reliability Test to determine the social and economic variables that influence the research areas, and Multiple Regression Analysis to measure the most influential factors. The result shows that Summarecon’ Bogor development caused significant changes in crowd level and income increase in the research area, that relates to the influence of job opportunities in the research area. These research findings provide insight into the changes caused by the development. The insight produced can be used as recommendations for the local government and developers to mitigate negative impacts and optimize benefits. This research also serves as an academic reference for future research that have similar objective and methods, particularly large-scale housing development in Indonesia.
