Abstract

Pabrik Gula Pesantren Baru telah melakukan pengelolaan limbah, tetapi IPAL yang ada belum efektif untuk mengurangi kadar bahan organik yang terkandung dalam air limbah tersebut. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka diperlukan evaluasi IPAL PG Pesantren Baru, sehingga dapat ditentukan langkah untuk memperbaiki IPAL tersebut Bak pengendap I di evaluasi dengan perhitungan teknis. Hasil evaluasi digunakkan untuk mengusulkan perbaikkan bangunan tersebut. Agar usulan perbaikkan memenuhi syarat yang diijinkan maka dilakukan percobaan menggunakan reaktor skala laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil evalusi, bak pengendap I tidak memenuhi syarat dan diperioritaskan untuk perbaikkan mengingat effluen di bangunan ini menjadi beban pada bangunan selanjutnya. Dari hasil perhitungan teknis maupun percobaan laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa ABR mampu memperbaiki kinerja bak pengendap I

The Pesantren Baru Sugar Factory has been managing its wastewater, but the existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) has not been effective in reducing the levels of organic matter contained in the wastewater. Therefore, an evaluation of the Pesantren Baru Sugar Factory WWTP is necessary to determine steps to improve the WWTP. Sedimentation tank I was evaluated using technical calculations. The evaluation results were used to propose improvements to the building. To ensure the proposed improvements met the permitted requirements, experiments were conducted using a laboratory-scale reactor. Based on the evaluation results, sedimentation tank I did not meet the requirements and was prioritized for improvement considering that the effluent in this building becomes a burden on the next building. The results of technical calculations and laboratory experiments showed that ABR was able to improve the performance of sedimentation tank I
