Abstract
banyak, khususnya hasil radiasi dari berbagai jenis pemancar. Selain digunakan sebagai media tranmisi terdapat potensi pada gelombang elektromagnetik bebas di udara untuk digunakan sebagai sumber energi alternatif. Pada penelitian ini dirancang sistem electromagnetic harvesting untuk memanfaatkan potensi besar tersebut. Sistem ini terdiri dari perangkat power harvester dan antena penerima. Desain antena menggunakan antena mikrostrip dengan penambahan slot di dalam patch untuk mencapai frekuensi multiband. Hasil simulasi didapatkan frekuensi kerja antena yakni 920 – 997 MHz, 1825 – 1847 MHz, 2125 – 2155 MHz, dan 2416 – 2466 MHz. Gain dari hasil pengukuran untuk band 900, 1800, 2100 dan 2400 berturut-turut 0,425 dB, 0,525 dB, 0,3 dB, dan 1,35 dB. Tegangan yang dihasilkan sistem electromagnetic harvesting adalah 4,2 V pada jarak 20 cm dari access point, 440 mV di sekitar BTS, dan 220 mV di ruang terbuka. Telah dilakukan pengujian bahwa perangkat electromagnetic harvesting mampu mencatu kalkulator dengan baik ketika jarak dari antena dengan access point 20 – 30 cm.

The number of scattered electromagnetic wave in environment very much, especially the result of radiation from various types of transmitters. Besides being used as a media transmission there is potential on the electromagnetic waves in the environmnet to be used as an alternative energy source. In this Final Project, electromagnetic harvesting system designed to harness the great potential. This system consists of a power harvester device and the receiver antenna. Antenna design in form microstrip antenna with the addition of slots in the patch to achieve multiband frequency. Results antenna design that simulated using CST Studio Suite 2011 software has operating frequency with range 920 – 997 MHz, 1825 – 1847 MHz, 2125 – 2155 MHz, and 2416 – 2466 MHz and.. Gain obtained from experiment result for band 900, 1800, 2100, 2400 respectively 0,425 dB, 0,525 dB, 0,3 dB, and 1,35 dB. The voltage generated by electromagnetic harvesting system is 4,2 V measured 20 cm from access point, 440 mV at around of the BTS, and 220 mV at free. It has been tested that the electromagnetic harvesting device capable to turn on calculator as the distance from the antenna to the access point 20-30 cm.
