Abstract

Sejak awal tahun 2020, COVID-19 terpaksa merubah cara manusia berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi. Banyak hal yang terdampak oleh kehadirannya, salah satunya adalah bidang pendidikan. Pembatasan kedekatan fisik membuat sistem pendidikan berubah. Beberapa darinya yang memiliki keterbatasan teknologi kembali menerapkan sistem kuno dengan surat menyurat. Namun, mayoritas menerapkan sistem sekolah online dengan menggunakan bantuan internet dan perangkat digital. Pendidikan online merupakan penyampaian materi pembelajaran yang dilakukan melalui bantuan internet dan perangkat digital untuk media interaksi antar siswa-siwa dan siswa-guru, dan sebagai media distribusi materi. Dengan demikian, kegiatan di platform online sebenarnya merupakan sebuah virtual space, wadah pengganti bangunan fisik yang diharapkan dapat menyalurkan materi dan menjaga tujuan kegiatan belajar. Walau interaksi tetap terjadi di dalamnya, virtual space tidak dapat menghadirkan kualitas interaksi yang setara dengan interaksi di real atau physical space. Virtual space sendiri merupakan peluang baru untuk real space untuk memiliki efektifitas yang lebih tinggi. Namun, penggunaan virtual space sangatlah bergantung pada kualitas yang dirasakan pengguna di ruang nyatanya. Pembangunan sebuah virtual space perlu dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek pembentuk real space agar sensasi dan persepsi yang dirasakan setara dengan di real space. Maka dari itu, penyelesaian masalah ini akan menghasilkan penggabungan virtual space pada bangunan nyata dengan menghadirkan aspekaspek sensori ruang yang dirasakan di masing-masing tempat secara virtual dan arsitektural.

Since the beginning of 2020, COVID-19 has changed the way humans interact and communicate. This condition affected many things, one of which was education. Restrictions on physical proximity change the education system. For those who have technological limitations, the education systems are switched back into ancient system of correspondence. However, the majority implement an online school system by using the help of the internet and digital devices. Online education is the delivery of learning materials that are carried out through the help of the internet and digital devices, as a media interaction between students and teachers, and as a medium for distributing educational materials. Thus, activities on the online platform are actually a virtual space, a place to replace physical buildings that are expected to be able to maintain the core purpose of learning activities. Although interactions still occur in them, virtual spaces cannot provide the same quality of interaction as interactions in real or physical spaces. Virtual space itself is a new opportunity for real space to have higher effectiveness. However, the implementation of virtual space depends on the quality the user perceives in the real space. The development of virtual space needs to be carried out by considering the aspects that make up the real space, in order to have the perception that is equivalent to the sensation in the real space. Therefore, solving this problem will result in the incorporation of virtual spaces into real buildings by presenting the sensory aspects of space that are felt in each virtual and architectural place.
