Abstract

The issue of sexual harassment and violence that always blaming victims of sexual harassment and violence is very common. This ends with the victim's decision to not resolve the case and sometimes tends to cover it up. The act of blaming the victim can actually affect how the victim would survive. It causes they have to live in a traumatic memory. It can be seen from the existing cases, people tend to be indifferent and have no empathy for the victims. Therefore, a forum is needed to generate empathy by making people understand the emotions of survivors. Based on these problems, a traumatic-informed design that is directly related to memory, perception and sensation, and performative design is applied as an approach to the design with a concept-based method as a framework with domain to domain transfer to translate emotions into architectural syntax. The mapping of emotions that felt by survivors is taken from the films 27 Steps of May and Unbelievable as a reference. The step of mapping storyline will produce architectural points that can be applied in the design. These points include the placement of space, spatial quality, materials, openings, and lighting. The design that manifests a narrative about sexual harassment and violence, it is hoped that it will create a sense of community empathy for the victim. Based on this, the public is expected to be aware and understand the importance of the issue of sexual harassment and violence itself.
