Abstract

Kehilangan orang tua sebagai support system utama menempatkan anak-anak pada posisi rentan akan kemiskinan, kekerasan, dan penurunan kesehatan fisik dan mental. Hal itulah yang menyebabkan ketidakhadiran orang tua membukakan resiko di mana anak berada pada lingkungan negatif semakin besar. Ketika sebuah kondisi mengharuskan anak untuk tinggal di panti asuhan, mereka pasti mengalami pengalaman yang berbeda dengan lingkungan rumah, yang mana anak-anak mendapatkan penjagaan, keleluasaan untuk bermain, berekspresi, dan kontrol akan privasi, sebaliknya, kondisi yang terbatas di panti asuhan menjadikan kebutuhan dasar anak-anak tidak terpenuhi dengan baik. Padahal, anak-anak membutuhkan tempat yang mendukung hal-hal tersebut untuk tumbuh dan berkembang. Arsitektur sebagai bidang keilmuan yang mampu mendefinisikan kualitas ruang dan lingkungan bagi manusia mendorong untuk mewujudkan pemenuhan hak-hak anak melalui fasilitas dan elemen-elemen arsitektur yang menciptakan ketrikatan pengguna dengan suatu tempat melalui security, safety, dan privacy.

Losing parents as the main support system places children in a vulnerable position to poverty, violence, and decreased physical and mental health. This is what causes the absence of parents to open up the risk where the child is in a negative environment even greater. When a condition requires children to live in an orphanage, they must experience a different experience from the home environment, which gets the care of the children, the freedom to play, express themselves, and control their privacy, on the other hand, the limited conditions in the orphanage make the need for children's basics are not well met. In fact, children need a place that supports these things to grow and develop. Architecture as a field of science that is able to define the quality of space and the environment for humans who encourage the fulfillment of children's rights through facilities and architectural elements that create user engagement with a place through security, safety, and privacy.
