Abstract

The Selogajah hot spring is located on Selogajah Hill, North Slope of Mount Pandan, within the Kendeng zone which has several active faults and various other geothermal manifestations around it. Based on these conditions, the VLF-EM method was used to identify the characteristics of subsurface conditions in the Selogajah Hill area, Gondang District, Bojonegoro Regency. So far, no intensive studies and research have been conducted to map the characteristics of the subsurface conditions around the Selogajah hot springs, so that the VLF EM method is expected to be a reference to assist local communities in planning development and regional development in the area. Data acquisition was carried out on 6 tracks in the Selogajah hot spring area using the T-VLF instrument and processing using several filter processes, including the NA-MEMD filter to decompose data and reduce noise. Based on the results of qualitative 2D processing using the Karous-Hjelt filter, the conductivity distribution with apparent depth is obtained. The results obtained from 6 West-East oriented tracks, show a concentrated and dominant conductive anomaly in the eastern part of the study area, in the middle area of the track, and slightly appears in the western part. The interpretation of the conductive anomaly is strongly suspected to be a water-saturated rock layer in the form of hydrothermal fluid with a southeast-northwest direction. While the resistive anomaly in the area indicates the presence of rock fractures that gave rise to the Selogajah 1 and Selogajah 2 hot springs.
