Abstract

One of the components that make up the forest is trees, where trees are an important indicator of the composition of forest ecosystems because they provide ecosystem services that are beneficial to living things as supply, regulation, support, and cultural services. Based on the distribution area, trees consist of native and introduced trees. Introduced trees are came from outside the distribution area of their new habitat, and have both positive and negative impacts at the same time. Sumber Pawon Forest is a protected forest which has the main function of protecting life support systems to regulate water systems, prevent flooding, control erosion, prevent sea water intrusion, and maintain soil fertility. Sumber Pawon Forest is located at an altitude of 225 – 260 meters above sea level so it is a lowland rain forest, dominated by rubber plants and some of them are introduced trees. To determine the composition of introduced trees in the Sumber Pawon Forest, previous research data were used, then the data were selected to determine the introduced trees, and carried out descriptive analysis by comparing them with the literature. The composition of introduced plants in Sumber Pawon forest is 9 species, namely Theobroma cacao L., Ceiba pentandra, Castilla elastica, Leucaena leucocephala, Samanea saman, Tabernaemontana macrocarpa, Swietenia mahagoni, Gnetum gnemon, and Tectona grandis with a total amount of introduced trees are 577 of which 56% were potentially invasive.
