Abstract
Respon kebulatan memiliki karakteristik smaller the better.

This project is purposed to get best setting for both factor that influence response center of roundness. This response has smaller the better characteristics. Two methods used to get best setting to optimize this response. These methods are Signal to Noise Ratio (SIN Ratio) and Dual Response Surface (DRS). SIN Ratio more focused to effectiveness and easiness of calculation and also neglect about the sequential nature of investigation. In this research, DRS try to solve the weakness of SIN Ratio by optimize mean function as primary function and standard deviation function as secondary response. DRS try to get optimum mean while keep standard deviation at some value. Optimum value of this response center of roundness by SIN Ratio is 0.12575 with 27.3 meters/minutes of cutting speed, 0. 112 milimeterslminutes of sclupt movement and 0.5 milimeters cutting deep. Optimum value of this response center of roundness by DRS is 0.06105 with 16.2 meters/minutes of cutting speed, 0.1503 milimeters/minutes of sclupt movement, and 0.9 milimeters cutting deep.
