Abstract

Zero waste-based cafes began to be known by the public in the USA (United States of America) in December 2020 with an initiative from one of the well-known coffee companies to make all their cafes zero-waste-based by the end of 2020. In Indonesia, unfortunately, zero- waste-based cafes are still not too many, even many Indonesian people do not know the main meaning of the word zero waste. This study aims to review the interior design concept at Sehela Coffee with a women-based sustainability development approach, applying the utilitarian design concept of space and furniture that adapts to the 'Zero Waste' system. Education itself is produced from interior psychology which is applied to the design and produces environmental perception which can help to create an ideal interior design for customers. Exploration of the application of used materials is also an effort to educate customers about the 'Zero Waste' available in the room. The design concept that focuses on women's preferences is applied to the consideration of furniture comfort and the choice of room interior colors so that it can highlight the user's identity.
