Abstract

Stress at work can give a pressure on productivity and affect the work environment. Poor environment is one of the causese of stress in working at the office. A bad environment can affect a person’s feelings and psychological self. These conditions include crowded workplace conditions, poor lighting, poor ventilation, and lack of privacy in the workplace. The existence of COVID-19 has changed the situation so that humans also have to adapt. Some workers are advised to work from home following government regulations in implementing PSBB/PPKM in Indonesia. Indoor activities are also limited to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This causes less interaction between workers, causing workers to feel confined. The implementation of Healthy Workplace is very important, especially in industrial offices which only emphasize the functionality of the building. By calculating the working time one third of life is in the workplace so that the work environment has a significant impact on the health and well-being of users. In addition, with the COVID-19 pandemic, some workers are more comfortable working from home. Despite the positive answer to this, the understanding that office space will continue to exist but will be adapted flexibly to the needs of users. A biophilic approach can be applied in response to this issue. Biophilic is a concept that fosters a positive relationship between humans and nature through architecture. By using a biophilic approach, it aims to improve the welfare of human life physically and mentally.
