Abstract

The dense shipping lanes in the Madura Strait will have varying levels of danger to ships navigating the shipping lane. This study presents the level of danger of a ship navigating against several danger score criteria from outside the ship and from the ship itself. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to determine the weight of each danger score criterion. Automatic Identification System (AJS) data is used to determine the function value of each criterion over time. The magnitude of the danger score is determined by multiplying the weight by the function value of each criterion. Sensitivity analysis is used to determine the criteria that most influence the calculation of the danger score. The analysis results show that the danger score criteria originate from human error, ship condition, work environment, machinery, and shipping lanes. The most influential criterion in calculating the danger score is the distance between adjacent ships
