Abstract
Carbon-nanofibers (CNFs) merupakan salah satu produk dari nanoteknologi yang telah banyak dikembangkan selama beberapa dekade terakhir. Material carbon-nanofibers memiliki banyak aplikasi di bidang energi seperti fuel cells, baterai, dan superkapasitor. Metode electrospinning adalah salah satu metode unggulan untuk fabrikasi carbon-nanofibers. Ada dua metode untuk membuat carbon-nanofibers dengan electrospinning, yaitu electrospinning polimer komposit karbon dan karbonisasi nanofiber polimer. Dalam penelitian ini, nanofiber difabrikasi menggunakan metode electrospinning. Nanofiber yang berhasil didapatkan kemudian dikarbonisasi dengan suhu 200°C dan 250°C. Selanjutnya, sampel diuji menggunakan uji SEM dan XRD serta diukur konduktivitas listriknya. Diameter hasil fabrikasi carbon-nanofiber telah mencapai dimensi nanometer. Konduktivitas listrik dari carbon-nanofiber yang dihasilkan memiliki nilai pada rentang 10-5 – 10-7 S/cm. Pengukuran konduktivitas listrik menunjukkan bahwa morfologi serat pada carbon-nanofiber telah meningkatkan konduktivitas listrik materialnya sendiri. Besarnya konduktivitas listrik sebanding dengan suhu karbonisasi yang diaplikasikan pada nanofiber.

Carbon-nanofibers (CNFs) are one of the products of nanotechnology that have been widely developed since last few decades. Carbon-nanofibers have many energy applications, such as fuel cells, batteries, and supercapacitors. The electrospinning method commonly used for fabrication of carbon-nanofibers. There are two methods for making carbon-nanofibers by electrospinning; carbon composite polymers electrospun and carbonization of polymer nanofibers. In this study, the nanofibers was fabricated by electrospinning. The obtained nanofibers carbonized at 200°C and 250°C. Furthermore, the samples were tested using SEM and XRD and their electrical conductivity was measured. The diameter of fabricated carbon-nanofiber has reached nanometer dimension. The magnitude of electrical conductivity is in the range 10-7 – 10-5 S/cm. Electrical conductivity measurements show that the fiberous material of carbon-nanofiber has increased the electrical conductivity of the raw material. The electrical conductivity is proportional to the carbonization temperature applied to the nanofiber.
