Abstract
Penukar panas (heat exchanger) merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk memindah energi berupa kalor dari dua atau lebih aliran flu ida yang berbeda temperatur. Rod Baffle Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger adalah salah satu ttpe dart shell and tube heat exchanger dimana digunakan rod sebagai baffle. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian terhadap unjuk kerja rod baffle shell and tube heat exchanger dengan kenaikan sudut rod baffle 45° antar susunan rod Perptndahan panas yang terjadi adalah perpindahan panas satu fase dimana fluida dingin yang melewati sisi shell adalah air dengan temperatur kamar dan fluida panas yang melewati stst tube adalah air dengan temperatur 50° C. Debit jluida dingtn divariasikan dart 400 hingga 950 lph. Debit jlutda panas divariasikan antara 250 hingga 450 lph. Masing-masing dengan kenaikan 50 lph. Didapatkan data berupa Te;, Tea. T~t;, T11a. Pci, Pea. Phi· dan P ho- Dari penelittan dtdapatkan unjuk kerja alat penukar panas rodbaffle dengan kenaikan beda sudut 45° antara susunan rod yang satu dengan susunan bertktnya. Koejisten perpindahan panas konveksi (h) dan perpindahan panas aktual (qakhtual) meningkat dengan kenaikan Rec- Effectiveness maksimum sebesar 0,5 dtcapat pada mu 0,69 untuk Cr 0,4. penurunan tekanan stst. dingin terbesar pada debit .fluida dingin 950 /ph sebesar 0,09 kg/cm2

Heat exchanger is a tool used to transfer energy in the form of heat from two or more fluid flows of different temperatures. Rod Baffle Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger is one type of shell and tube heat exchanger where rods are used as baffles. In this study, a test was conducted on the performance of the rod baffle shell and tube heat exchanger with an increase in the rod baffle angle of 45° between the rod arrangements. The heat transfer that occurs is a single-phase heat transfer where the cold fluid passing through the shell side is water with room temperature and the hot fluid passing through the tube side is water with a temperature of 50°C. The cold fluid discharge is varied from 400 to 950 lph. The hot fluid discharge is varied between 250 to 450 lph. Each with an increase of 50 lph. The data obtained are Te;, Tea. T~t;, T11a. Pci, Pea. Phi· and P ho- From the research, the performance of the rodbaffle heat exchanger was obtained with an increase in the angle difference of 45° between one rod arrangement and the adjacent arrangement. The convection heat transfer coefficient (h) and actual heat transfer (qakhtual) increased with an increase in Rec- Effectiveness of 0.5 dt reached at mu 0.69 for Cr 0.4. pressure drop stst. The largest cold at a cold fluid discharge of 950 /ph of 0.09 kg / cm2
