Abstract

Dalam dunia industri seringkali ditemukan kasus korosi batas butir pada baja tahan karat tipe 304. Korosi batas butir diakibatkan terjadinya presipitasi karbida khrom pada temperatur sensitis oleh proses pemanasan maupun pengelasan.. Eksperimen diawali dengan pengerolan dingin baja tahan karat tipe 304 pada berbagai derajat reduksi ketebalan. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemanasan dimana parameter temperatur dan waktu penahanan divariasikan, dan seluruhnya didinginkan cepat menggunakan air. Pemberian input panas berupa penyataan busur listrik las TJG HF ditujukan sebagai sensitasi, dimana torch berada dalam keadaan diam dan pendinginan oleh udara. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan adanya perbedaan akibat pengaruh variasi pengerolan dingin, temperatur pemanasan dan waktu penahanan. Pada spesimen hasil pengerolan dingin tanpa dilanjutkan pemanasan didapatkan bahwa semakinĀ· tinggi derajat reduksi ketebalan daerah presipitasi karbida khrom yang diperoleh menjadi semakin Iebar. Sebaliknya pada spesimen yang mengalami Sedangkan prosentase dan Iebar daerah presipitasi karbida khrom semakin berkurang seiring dengan semakin meningkatnya temperatur pemanasan dan waktu penahanan

In the industrial world, cases of grain boundary corrosion are often found in 304 stainless steel. Grain boundary corrosion is caused by the precipitation of chromium carbides at sensitive temperatures by heating and welding processes. The experiment began with cold rolling of 304 stainless steel at various degrees of thickness reduction. Then continued with heating where the temperature parameters and holding time were varied, and all were quickly cooled using water. The provision of heat input in the form of a TJG HF welding electric arc was intended as a sensitizer, where the torch was in a stationary state and cooled by air. The experimental results showed differences due to the influence of variations in cold rolling, heating temperature and holding time. In the cold rolling specimen without continued heating, it was found that the higher the degree of thickness reduction, the wider the chromium carbide precipitation area obtained. On the other hand, in specimens that experienced While the percentage and width of the chromium carbide precipitation area decreased along with increasing heating temperature and holding time
