Abstract

Penelitian tentang pengaruh dinding terhadap aliran melintasi silinder sudah banyak dikembangkan sampai saat ini. Salah satu studi yang pernah dilakukan adalah dengan meletakkan silinder sirkular yang didekatkan pada sebuah dinding sehingga menimbulkan gaya lift pada silinder tersebut. Dalam studi ini, akan dilakukan penelitian tentang aliran melintasi silinder teriris yang didekatkan dinding datar. Berdasarkan studi literatur yang ada, penelitian jenis ini belum pemah dilakukan orang. Penelitian ini banyak diaplikasikan dalam pengembangan dunia industri misalnya konfigurasi shell and tube dalam penukar kalor, dan lain - lain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik aliran fluida melintasi silinder akibat pengaruh dinding. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental pada wind tunel menggunakan silinder yang diletakan dekat dinding wind tunel dengan variasi (GID) 0; 0,067; 0,133; 0,2; 0,267; 0,33; 0,4. Silinder yang digunakan adalah silinder sirlrular yang teriris pada bagian depan (tipe D) dengan sudut iris silinder (OJ sebesar 0°, 53° , 65°. Karalcteristilc aliran yang diteliti adalah distribusi lwefisien tekanan (C,J, lwefisien drag (Ca), lwefJSien lift (CJ, profil kecepatan di belakang silinder dan melalcukan visualisasi menggunakan metode oil flow picture. Eksperimental dilakukan pada subsonic wind tunnel dengan Re= 5,3xUI. Dari penelitian yang dilakulcan menunjulckan bahwa semakin sempit jarak gap, maka pengaruh blockage relatif besar. Hal ini alum menyebabkan titik stagnasi bergeser Ire sisi upper untukjarak gap 0 $ GID $ 0,133. Pada rasio gap yang sama didapatkan bahwa silinder dengan sudut irisan 65° paling terpengaruh oleh efek dinding, dan lremudian berturutlurut 53° dan 0° yang ditunjuklran pada koefisien resultan yang dihasilkan. Munculnya bubble separation di lower side silinder tipe D (Os = 6Y') mengakibatkan terjadinya gaya lift positif

Research on the effect of walls on flow across a cylinder has been widely developed to date. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of fluid flow across a cylinder due to the influence of walls. This research was conducted experimentally in a wind tunnel using a cylinder placed close to the wind tunnel wall with variations (GID) 0; 0.067; 0.133; 0.2; 0.267; 0.33; 0.4. The cylinder used is a circular cylinder sliced ​​at the front (type D) with a cylinder slice angle (OJ) of 0°, 53°, 65°. The flow characteristics studied are the distribution of pressure coefficient (C,J), drag coefficient (Ca), lift coefficient (CJ), velocity profile behind the cylinder and visualization using the oil flow picture method. Experiments were carried out in a subsonic wind tunnel with Re = 5.3xUI. From the research carried out, it was shown that the narrower the gap distance, the greater the effect of blockage. This also caused the stagnation point to shift to the upper side for a gap distance of 0 $ GID $ 0.133. At the same gap ratio, it was found that the cylinder with a slice angle of 65° was most affected by the wall effect, and then successively 53° and 0° were shown in the resulting resultant coefficient. The appearance of bubble separation on the lower side of the type D cylinder (Os = 6Y') results in a positive lift force
