Abstract

Pada lomba hemat bahan bakar seperti Shell EcoMarathon dan Indonesia Eco Marathon Competition strategi berkendara sangat mempengaruhi konsumsi bahan bakar. Strategi berkendara juga harus disesuaikan dengan karakteristik kendaraan dan karakteristik lintasan. Guna mendapatkan strategi berkendara yang baik dan hemal bahan bakar, perlu dibangun sebuah model yang bisa digunakan untuk mensimulasikan Iomba. Dalam penelitian ini sebuah model sapuangin 7 (SA7) dikembangkan untuk merepresentasikan bagaimana mode berkendara yang hemat bahan bakar di sirkuit sepang. Mode yang dimaksud adalah batas kecepalan saat mesin hidup dan balas kecepalan saat mesin mobil mali. Pemodelan dan simulasi mobil SA7 dan sirkuit sepang dibuat dengan bantuan software SIMULINK MATLAB. Dengan mengidentifikasi variabel dan hubungan antar variabe terhadap konsumsi bahan bakar, seperli koefisien drag, koefisien rolling resistance, karakteristik mesin mobil, dan karakteristik lintasan. Untuk mendapatkan mode berkendara dengan konsumsi bahan bakar yang optimum, simulasi dijalankan dengan memvariasikan kecepatan mobil saat mesin hidup dan kecepatan mobil saat mesin mali. Untuk menjamin kebenaran model, model digunakan untuk mensimulasikan mobil SA8 di lintasan Kenjeran dan Manila. Validasi dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan jumlah siklus On-Off dan konsumsi bahan bakar aktual dengan hasil simulasi dan berdiskusi langsung dengan pengendara mobil SA8. Didapatkan bahwa konsumsi bahan bakar hasil simulasi di Kenjeran adalah 189 km/1 dan hasil simulasi di Manila adalah 158 km/1. Error hasil simulasi berada dibawah 1% hila dibandingkan dengan konsumsi bahan bakar aktual yaitu 191 km/1 dan 151 km/1. Tidak ada perbedaan antara siklus On-Off mobil hasil simulasi dengan kondisi aktualnya. Model dapat dikatakan valid karena error yang dimiliki model kurang dari 5%. Dengan menggunakan model yang telah divalidasi, mobil SA7 disimulasikan di lintasan Sepang. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa konsumsi bahan bakar optimum yang dimiliki mobil SA7 adalah 170 km/1. Mesin menyala sebanyak empat kali selama melintasi lintasan sepang, dimana mesin mobil mati bila kecepatan mobil sudah mencapai 42 km/jam dan hidup hila mencapai kecepatan 25 km/jam

In fuel-efficient competitions such as the Shell EcoMarathon and the Indonesia Eco Marathon Competition, driving strategy significantly influences fuel consumption. Driving strategy must also be adjusted to vehicle and track characteristics. To obtain a good and fuel-efficient driving strategy, a model must be built that can be used to simulate the race. In this study, a Sapuwind 7 (SA7) model was developed to represent how fuel-efficient driving modes are used at the Sepang Circuit. The modes in question are the speed limit when the engine is running and the speed balance when the engine is running. Modeling and simulation of the SA7 car and the Sepang Circuit were made with the help of MATLAB's SIMULINK software. By identifying variables and relationships between variables on fuel consumption, such as the drag coefficient, rolling resistance coefficient, car engine characteristics, and track characteristics. To obtain the driving mode with optimum fuel consumption, simulations were run by varying the car's speed when the engine is running and the car's speed when the engine is running. To ensure the accuracy of the model, the model was used to simulate the SA8 car on the Kenjeran and Manila tracks. Validation was conducted by comparing the number of On-Off cycles and actual fuel consumption with the simulation results and discussing directly with the SA8 car driver. It was found that the fuel consumption of the simulation results in Kenjeran was 189 km/1 and the simulation results in Manila were 158 km/1. The error of the simulation results was below 1% when compared to the actual fuel consumption of 191 km/1 and 151 km/1. There was no difference between the On-Off cycles of the simulated car and its actual conditions. The model can be said to be valid because the error of the model is less than 5%. By using the validated model, the SA7 car was simulated on the Sepang track. From this study, it was found that the optimum fuel consumption of the SA7 car was 170 km/1. The engine was turned on four times while crossing the Sepang track, where the car's engine turned off when the car's speed reached 42 km/h and turned on when it reached a speed of 25 km/h
