Abstract
Pusat pembuatan es balok untuk kebutuhan pendinginan hasil tangkapan sumber daya laut khususnya ikan belum tersedia di daerah Kabupaten Ende, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Maka dari itu, perlu dibangun sebuah pabrik es untuk memenuhi kebutuhan es di daerah ini. Pabrik es ini direncanakan dengan kapasitas 10 ton per hari. Pada tugas akhir ini direncanakan sistem pendingin untuk pabrik es tersebut. Perhitungan beban pendingin divariasikan dari besarnya temperatur air garam dan waktu pendinginan yang dibutuhkan. Dari parameter - parameter tersebut diambil dua variasi be ban pend in gin yaitu 98,189 K w dan 112,216 K w dengan jenis refrigeran ammonia. Dari masing - masing beban pendingin, dilakukan perhitungan dan pemilihan komponen – komponen sistem pendingin yaitu kompresor, kondensor dan evaporator. Selanjutnya kedua desain tersebut akan dibandingkan secara ekonomis untuk komponen - komponen utama dari sistem pendingin. Dari hasil perhitungan teknis dan ekonomis akan didapatkan desain sistem pendingin yang paling efisien untuk pembangunan pabrik es di Kabupaten Ende, Nusa Tenggara Timur

An ice block production center for the cooling needs of marine resources, especially fish, is not yet available in Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Therefore, it is necessary to build an ice factory to meet the ice needs in this area. This ice factory is planned with a capacity of 10 tons per day. In this final project, a cooling system for the ice factory is planned. The calculation of the cooling load is varied from the temperature of the brine and the required cooling time. From these parameters, two variations of the cooling load are taken, namely 98,189 Kw and 112,216 Kw with ammonia as the refrigerant type. From each cooling load, calculations and selection of the components of the cooling system are carried out, namely the compressor, condenser and evaporator. Next, the two designs will be compared economically for the main components of the cooling system. From the results of technical and economic calculations, the most efficient cooling system design will be obtained for the construction of an ice factory in Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara
