Abstract

Ide perancangan dan pembuatan mesin pencabut ketela pohon ini tercipta diawali oleh adanya kesadaran dan pengamatan bahwa proses pencabutan ketela pohon di berbagai daerah di bumi masih menggunakan cara tradisional, dimana cara tersebut memerlukan energi yang besar. Pelaksanaan perancangan dan pembuatan mesin pencabut ketela pohon ini dimulai dengan mengumpulkan informasi mengenai agricultural ladang ketela pohon yang terdapat di Jawa Timur, khususnya Malang. Selanjutnya dilakukan percobaan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar gaya cabut yang diperlukan untuk mencabut cassava sehubungan dengan kondisi tanah yang ada. Survey tentang traktor dan alat-alat pertanian yang Ielah ada juga dilakukan untuk melengkapi data-data tersebut. Setelah data-data tersebut didapat, selanjutnya mulai dilakukan perancangan mesin pencabut ketela pohon ini. Mesin dirancang dan dibangun sesuai fungsi utama, yaitu untuk mencabut ketela pohon dengan sistem mekanika. Oleh karena itu pola pergerakan setiap part dari mesin menjadi fokus utama dalam pemodelan ini tanpa meninggalkan kemampuan part untuk dimanufaktur dan atau diassembly. Namun demikian perlu juga diperhatikan estetika dan ergonomi dari mesin ini. Beberapa part yang digunakan dirancang dan disesuaikan dengan standar yang Ielah ada di pasaran. Berbagai perhitungan juga telah dilakukan untuk menentukan material yang digunakan. Pada akhimya telah dilakukan pembuatan model yang mampu menunjukkan mekanisme pergerakkan dari mesin pencabut ketela pohon ini

The idea for designing and manufacturing this cassava plucking machine arose from the awareness and observation that the cassava plucking process in various regions of the world still uses traditional methods, which require a large amount of energy. The design and manufacturing process for this cassava plucking machine began with gathering information about agricultural cassava fields in East Java, particularly Malang. Next, experiments were conducted to determine the amount of plucking force required to pluck cassava in relation to the existing soil conditions. Surveys of existing tractors and agricultural equipment were also conducted to complement this data. After this data was obtained, the design of this cassava plucking machine began. The machine was designed and built according to its main function, which is to pluck cassava using a mechanical system. Therefore, the movement pattern of each part of the machine became the main focus in this modeling without neglecting the part's ability to be manufactured and/or assembled. However, it was also necessary to pay attention to the aesthetics and ergonomics of this machine. Several parts used were designed and adjusted to existing standards in the market. Various calculations were also performed to determine the materials used. Ultimately, a model was created that demonstrates the movement mechanism of this cassava plucking machine
