Abstract

This study examines a double-body offshore structure, such as a floating structure, ballast tank system that goes vertically from the top of the lower body to the bottom of the lower body. These holes, whose dimensions were calculated, will let out this ballast water. The passive ballasting system in this double-body structure will rely on the bottom body's water function. The maximum weight that can be added to the structure will be the same as the capacity of the ballast tank. The water in the ballast tank may leak because the pressure of the water inside the structure is the same as that of the water outside. The initial draft condition must always remain in the structure. The passive ballasting method will be utilized because of its benefits. The technical calculations and design of the offshore platform are carefully evaluated for efficiency, stability, and safety. The three primary body parts of this structure are the piston, the upper-part body, and the lower-part body. Manual calculations are used in this project. In addition, modeling and simulation use software from CATIA, PATRAN, and HYPERMESH. With the exception of inertia and damping effects brought on by time-varying loads, the structural analysis employed in this project will calculate the influence of stable loading conditions on a structure. Real testing and simulations are also conducted during the event in water basins.
