Abstract

Luas dan jumlah hutan pohon pinus di Pulau jawa masih sangat banyak. Pada bidang maritim, pohon pinus dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai material utama dalam pembuatan mobile catamaran boat. Tujuan utama dari tugas akhir ini adalah untuk menganalisis secara teknis dan ekonomis penggunaan material laminasi kayu pinus untuk pembangunan mobile catamaran boat. Langkah awal pengerjaan yaitu melakukan observasi potensi pasar mobile catamaran boat di wilayah Jawa Timur. Langkah kedua yaitu melakukan observasi untuk menentukan ukuran utama kapal dengan cara mencari kapal pembanding. Ketiga melakukan pengujian tarik laminasi kayu pinus berdasarkan standar pengujian ASTM D3500. Nilai kekuatan tarik ratarata spesimen laminasi kayu pinus adalah 92,06 MPa, sedangkan standard dari BKI untuk laminasi kayu minimal mempunyai nilai kekuatan tarik sebesar 85 MPa, ini berarti laminasi kayu pinus layak digunakan sebagai material pembuatan mobile catamaran boat. Keempat melakukan pengujian tekuk laminasi kayu pinus berdasarkan standar pengujian ASTM D3043. Nilai kekuatan tekuk rata-rata spesimen laminasi kayu pinus adalah 183,22 Mpa, sedangkan standard dari BKI untuk laminasi kayu minimal mempunyai nilai kekuatan tekuk sebesar 152 Mpa. Kelima yaitu perhitungan stabilitas, hambatan, dan kuat konstruksi dari kapal. Keenam yaitu proses produksi mobile catamaran boat. Ketujuh melakukan penentuan lokasi untuk pembangunan galangan mobile catamaran boat. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, galangan mobile catamaran boat membutuhkan gudang dengan luas tanah 526 m2. Biaya investasi yang dibutuhkan sebesar Rp 222.911.000, payback period terjadi pada tahun ke 5 bulan ke 8 dengan nilai net present value sebesar Rp 675.613.710, dan IRR sebesar 21.03%.

The area and number of pine trees forest on the island of Java is still very large. In the maritime use, pine trees can be used as the main material in making mobile catamaran boats. The main purpose of this final project is to technically and economically analyze the use of pine wood laminated materials for the construction of mobile catamaran boats. The first step of the work is to observe the potential of the mobile catamaran boat market in the East Java region. The second step is to make observations to determine the size of the main ship by looking for a comparison ship. Third step is to do the pine wood lamination tensile strength testing based on ASTM D3500 testing standard. The average tensile strength value of pine wood laminated specimens is 92,06 MPa, while the standard from BKI for wood laminates has a minimum tensile strength value of 85 MPa, this means that pine wood laminates are suitable for use as a material for making mobile catamaran boats. The fourth step is to do the pine wood lamination flexural strength testing based on ASTM D3043 testing standard. The average flexural strength value of pine wood laminated specimens is 183,22 MPa, while the standard from BKI for wood laminates has a minimum tflexural strength value of 152 MPa. Fifth step is to calculate the stability, resistance, and construction strength of the ship.Sixth step is the production process of mobile catamaran boats. The seventh step is determined the location for the production of the catamaran boat mobile shipyard. Based on the analysis, the mobile catamaran boat shipyard requires land with a land area of 526 m2. The required investment cost is Rp 222.911.000, the payback period occurs in the 5th year of the 8th month with a net present value Rp 971.013.015, and the IRR ois 21,03%.
