Abstract
Kereta api merupakan armada tranportasi darat yang banyak digemari oleh masyarakat untuk melakukan perjalanan darat. Untuk itu fasilitas stasiun menjadi hal penting sebagai sarana berbagai aktifitas saat menunggu jadwal kereta api karena rasa bosan dan tidak nyaman merupakan alasan utama penumpang mengalami keterlambat jadwal kereta. Selain itu stasiun didefinisikan sebagai pintu gerbang suatu kota sehingga stasiun harus mepresentasikan ciri khas dari suatu kota tersebut. Objek desain merupakan Stasiun Baru Kota Malang terletak tempat pada pusat kota sehingga menjadi salah satu stasiun paling sibuk. Untuk itu Re-desain stasiun bertujuan menghadirkan kelengkapan sarana dan prasrana pada stasiun kereta api bersifat fungsional dan entertaining serta menciptakan desain interior stasiun yang dapat mempresentasikan salah satu bangunan heritage of malang dengan konsep modern sebagai upaya meningkatkan kenyamanan calon penumpang serta memperkenalkan sejarah berdirinya bangunan. Penerapan konsep desain diaplikasikan dengan penggunaan beberapa ornamen bangunan heritage yang dipadukan dengan material alami serta wara modern, penggunaan interaktif signage, digital self service dan universal desain.

The train is a land transportation fleet that is much favored by the public to travel overland. For this reason, station facilities are important as a means of various activities while waiting for the train schedule because boredom and discomfort are the main reasons passengers experience train schedule delays. In addition, the station is defined as the gate of a city so the station must represent the characteristics of a city. The design object is the Malang City New Station which is located in the city center so it becomes one of the busiest stations. For this reason, the re-design of the station aims to present the completeness of facilities and infrastructure at the train station that is functional and entertaining and creates a station interior design that can represent one of the heritage buildings of Malang concept modern as an effort to increase the comfort of prospective passengers and introduce the history of the building. The application of the design concept is applied by the use of several heritage combined with natural materials and modern colors, the use of interactive signage, digital self-service, and universal design.
